Catacombs of Saint John:

The Catacombs of Saint John (San Giovanni) are the only remaining catacombs in Siracusa that are open to the public. Situated next to the important 6th century Church of Saint John, they date back to the 4th century and were built around an ancient Greek aqueduct. You can still make out some of the Greek and Latin inscriptions surrounding the tombs....
