The Old Waverley Hotel, located in the famous Princes Street in Edinburgh, is close to everything. Most rooms offer stunning views of Edinburgh Castle. Our hotel is a landmark. It is situated in the city centre and is an ideal starting point to explore the many varied attractions of the Scottish capital. We offer affordable rates and a high level of service. The hotel has Wi-Fi (you will need your own laptop). The hotel is currently undergoing renovation (to the end of the year). The inconvenience is minimal. You have access to the leisure centre of the 4-star hotel located a 10-minute walk from our hotel. Price: 5 - 7 GBP per person per day.

Bar lunches are available in the hotel lounge from 11am each day. In the evening, Cranstons Restaurant offers fine dining in stunning surroundings. Enjoy our varied menu while admiring the stunning castle views! Dinner is served from 6.30pm until 9.30pm each evening. Reception will be happy to make a reservation.

• Cancellations: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

The hotel reserves the right, at their absolute discretion, to refuse bookings, at any time, made for single sex groups.

Please note that the hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Please note that from the 1st July 2008 all bedrooms will become completely non-smoking, from this date on no requests for Smoking Rooms will be accepted.

Directions

From the M6:
- Continue onto the A74(M) exiting at junction 13 onto the A702 which eventually leads right into Edinburgh.
- Once in the city, follow signs for Edinburgh Waverley train station. The hotel is almost opposite the Princes Street exit.

From the A1:
- Follow the A1(M) for Edinburgh.
- Follow signs for city centre and then Waverley train station. The hotel is almost opposite the Prices Street exit.

The hotel has no car parking of it own, though guests of the hotel receive a 20% discount on parking at the nearby Greenside Place NCP on Leith Street (just of the East End of Princes Street). Please bring the ticket you get from the car park to the hotel reception to get this discount.
