This hotel rests just 2 miles from the centre of the famous City of Dreaming Spires, surrounded by 400 acres of woodland and gardens.

This dream has now been fulfilled with a hotel that provides a relaxing blend of elegance and warmth to all guests.

Built in 1910 as a charming Edwardian gentleman's residence, the hotel offers a true haven of tranquillity and a relaxed country house atmosphere. Many of the 21 bedrooms have been recently refurbished, each individually styled to provide maximum comfort and convenience during your stay. With different shapes and sizes to suit all requirements, the rooms all benefit from en suite bath and/or shower rooms, the facilities listed in "room descriptions" as well as fluffy cotton towels. Many rooms enjoy fabulous views over the gardens and woods, adding to the country house atmosphere. We are fully licensed and guests are welcome to join us for a drink at the bar or on the terrace and dine with us in the restaurant. Alternatively, we can serve meals and snacks in your room (at an additional cost).

Blenheim Palace is within a 15 minute drive and Bath, Stonehenge and 'Shakespeare Country', are all within an easy 2 hour journey time. You can play golf at the superb three course Frilford Heath (Anthony Healy is a member and can arrange tee times), enjoy horse racing at Newbury or Cheltenham (home of the gold cup) or visit the Silverstone Grand Prix Formula 1 venue and Henley Rowing regatta. The M40 and M4 motorways provide quick and easy access to Heathrow airport and other important destinations.
