Restaurants and Bars

Each morning you can enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast overlooking the garden and Loch Ryan. Special dietary requirements are catered for, including fresh fruit, yoghurt and a continental option.

For lunch and dinner, the B&B is located just a short distance from some of Stranraer's finest restaurants and bars. There are also plenty of cafes and takeaways in the town. The B&B offers a booking facility at busy times, which you can request on the booking form.

On request, coffee and freshly cut sandwiches can be served in the guest lounge.

The house is happy to take arrivals from the late ferries, just let them know your estimated time of arrival.

Pick-up/drop-off service for foot passengers from the ferry port and train station, on request.

Balyett Bed and Breakfast is situated half a mile from Stranraer on the main A77 coast road between Stranraer and Cairnryan. Overlooking Lochryan.

Stranraer ferry: 4 minutes.
Cairnryan ferry: 5 minutes.

There is ample off-road parking for all vehicle types.
