Dating back to the 16th century, the Legacy Falcon Hotel is a quintessential Tudor residence. Featuring decorative half-timbering and narrow, slanted windows it encapsulates Tudor charm. The interiors boast rich, regal colours, exposed wood panelling and wrought-iron fittings; a blissfully cosy environment.

Accommodation consists of 53 newly refurbished rooms in the slightly more modern section of the hotel, situated at the rear. 20 rooms are based in the mid-section part of the original building. The hotel is located just 6 miles from the M40 and has its own car park for 120 cars.

Many of the areas of the hotel have retained their traditional features. Relax in the Scholars or the Merlin Lounge, which boasts a real open fire. The marble floored covered walkway is ideal for enjoying afternoon tea, whilst overlooking the garden - an unexpected pleasure in such a central town location.

The hotel has been an Ale house since 1640 and a traditional welcome can still be found in the Oak and Lounge Bars. Both serve a fine range of beers with original ale on hand pumps. The Oak Bar has a large screen TV for worldwide sporting events, plays popular music and is open all day. The lounge bar is the ideal place to relax before or after a fantastic meal in either the restaurant or one of the bars.

Directions

Follow signs into the town centre, head towards Barclays Bank situated on the roundabout. Turning into High Street, with Austin Reed on the right. Turn 1st right after the hotel frontage and right again into the hotel car park.
