The Best Western Popinjay Hotel is located in the heart of the Famous Clyde Valley. Nestling next to the banks of the River Clyde the hotel is set within 4 acres of private grounds. Built in Tudor fashion the hotel takes its name from an imaginary bird connected with 17th century May day celebrations in the area. We have 33 well appointed ensuite bedrooms and have just recently added our brand new state of the art leisure centre incorporating an 18 metre swimming pool, gymnasium, spa and sauna.

Best Western Popinjay Hotel, built in Tudor Fashion, positioned 4 miles from the M74. Deep in the Heart of the Clyde Valley we are set in 8 acres of private land surrounded by pituresque gardens reaching down to the River Clyde, where we enjoy fishing rights.

All rooms have private facilities.
Local attractions - Strathclyde Park, Bothwell Castle & Glasgow Cathedral to name a few.
We also have a state of the art Health & Fitness Club, just newly opened in May 2006.
