The Royal Marine Hotel is a landmark hotel in Dun Laoghaire which has operated since 1828. It reopened its doors on June 22, 2007 to start a new phase in its history after a \u20ac50 million rennovation. This new 4-star hotel offers a wide variety of services and facilities while enjoying spectacular views over the picturesque bay of Dublin. Most of its original features have been carefully restored to ensure that the historic character of the hotel remains. The rooms are divided into 152 superior rooms, 54 executive rooms with balconies and 22 suites situated in the main Victorian building. The ground floor of the hotel will be a stunning vision of old and new with the famous Bay Lounge complimented by a stylish bar, which remains steeped in history. The Royal Marine Hotel, formerly known as the Royal Hotel Hayes, was bought in 1863 by William Dargan, creator of Kingstown Railway. The hotel was designed by John McCurdy, an architect of numerous other buildings and churches throughout his career. Hardys Bar will incorporate modern design with gastronomic and classical dishes coupled with service full of character and personality. Hardy’s bar has been designed over two floors which makes it the ideal venue for small intimate parties and private gatherings.

Dún Bistro styled restaurant will combine a Modern Epicurean menu and a broad and eclectic wine list with professional yet friendly service. The bistro will incorporate stunning views over the harbour with a mix of both modern and period design features.

The Royal Marine Hotel is thrilled to announce it has joined forces with the Patton Flyer a new coach service that provides transportation right outside the door of the Royal Marine hotel to Dublin Airport & also vice versa.

It offers very competitive rates at a mere €7.00 single fare & €12.00 return fare to Dublin Airport.

The coach journey time is approx 50minutes which is quicker then most coach services from the airport to the City Centre. The reason for this is this coach service has less stops & also takes the Port Tunnel resulting in the airport coach service not having to take the City Centre route & avoiding traffic.
