"Would never stay again. I stay in a variety of hotels and b+bs for business and pleasure and this is the worst room I have ever stayed in. It wasn't just us, we were staying with friends and their opinion was the same as ours." (97681814)
Room was in such a bad state of repair I took pictures. Wallpaper ripped and peeling of the walls/stained and marked. Shower took at good 5 mins to heat up (waste of water) then it was impossible to control temperature. Bathroom shabby with sealant coming of fixtures. Doors damaged. Breakfast wasn't part of the deal and was £11.50 on top. Due to the state of the room, I didn't want to try the breakfast if it was to the same standard.

"This was a place to sleep when we had no other option. It would only be under these circumstances I would stay here again." (107184378)
Fast check-out. Clean.
No one answered the hotel phone for several hours on the afternoon we were arriving and trying to get in touch. No one at reception desk for about 10 min when we arrived. Check in very slow. Key didn't work after two attempts to get it right. Only one bath towel for a double-occupancy twin room. Wake-up call requested on check-in was not made. Extraordinarily expensive for what it was - £159 for one night in sub-standard accommodation with poor service.

Very expensive for the room I had. Very basic room, although neat and tidy, really needed a good clean.

"We enjoyed our stay but it had not been my intention to have to supervise my teenage son while he was swimming in the small pool." (107162867)
Drunken guests careering down the corridor in the early hours knocking on and throwing bags of towels at doors spoiled an otherwise good stay. A spot of personality wouldn't have harmed the receptionist and our waiter in the restaurant. They both looked and acted as if they were bored stiff - they probably were, but it would have been nice to have put on a show for the guests. It would have been of help to us if the website had stated that under 16s couldn't use the pool without a parent being in attendance. Also that the gym is not available to under 16s. I booked the hotel because of the pool only to find that my 5ft 11in 14 year old was classified the same as a toddler.

"According to the offer too expensive" (97904240)
Easy to find, a good location, enough car-parking places at no aditional cost, kindness if the stuff
paying in advance, dirty cups, knives, forks, spoons, bad milk, extremely poor equipment (no minibar, bad shower, no sef, voices through the walls...)

"What should have been a restful stay turned out to be quite stressful." (108014002)
Breakfast was very poor; it was not what I ordered and certainly not worth £11.50. As a woman travelling on my own, I felt unsafe having a locked door between my room and the next room - I assume that the room was originally a family room with two bedrooms. Also, on my last night, the duty manager had to be called to a man knocking and shouting at the door to the room next to mine - once again I felt unsafe.

"Very nice Hotel, but expensive if unlucky." (97192305)
Good location. Room was very nice with a very comfortable king size bed.
Not a great example of value for money. The room was booked in December 2007 at a cost of £155, although a week before our visit a similar room for the following week could have been booked for £75. Beware of inflated charges. The breakfast was excellent but expensive at £11.50 per person, irrespective of whether Full English or Continental.

"As i said the hotel needs refurbishment this is not a hotel I would wish to stay at again due to the large rowdy groups you seem to attract. You must have offered them a better package we had because we paid full price for a substandard hotel! " (97246211)
The staff were excellent and you couldn't fault their customer service.
The hotel is in need of desparate refurbishment. The clientele left a lot to be desired. We had to request a room move due to a group of lads determined to have a good time for 2 nights who subsequently woke us up on their return at 3 a.m. and didn't quieten down until the day time, only to start again at 4p.m. We were moved!!! We also had a hockey team of girls who were running around the hotel and through the corridors - does no-one know how to close a door these days??

"I had read previous comments posted and was really concerned about what we'd booked. I checked they had my booking and when we arrived everything was fine. Although we couldn't put or bags in the rooms at 12:00 when we arrived, they checked us in without any issues. All we had to do when we got tback was get our key. The rooms are fine, a little tierd, but nothing as bad as some of these posts. This hotel is outside Cardiff, not sure if people have commented about the Park Inn based in the centre. On Sunday morning, we went and used the swimming pool and other facilties. All OK Didn't have breakfast but drove 5 mins up the A48 to the large Tescos. I have booked again next Bank Hol weekend for the Rugby League Weekend at the Millenium Stadium!!" (97910021)
Easy access off the motorway then reasonable fair (10mins) Taxi straight into Cardiff £7 - £10
Delivery van at 07:30 making too much noise

Easy to find, good breakfast, friendly staff
I chose it because of the pool and gym facilities, but the pool was poorly maintained - a lot of static water on the floor and I had to walk through the gym reception to the changing rooms. I didn't stay in very long. In my room, The bathroom smelt 'used', ie not fresh and clean. I was glad I was only there for one night

"The facilities appeared to be used by non-residents? Therefore there was a lot of noise during the day. We disliked walking past people smoking outside the main entrance. We suffered a lot of disturbance ( shouting and banging) from residents in the rooms above or close to our own room who continued to wake us throughout the night. The car park situated immediatley in front of the rooms is a disturbance at night." (97499517)
The rooms are well furnished and clean and comfortable.
The bed was far to springy and uncomfortable.

"from check-in to check-out, the staff were very friendly and helpful. the lobby, bar area and the hotel in general had a very clean and pleasant appearance. although the gym and pool area is not the biggest, it is better than nothing for the price we paid. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definately book to stay there again. I know its each to their own, but we could not fault anything at the hotel (bar prices were about 50p/£1 dearer than the average pub/bar, there, one minor moan)." (97975962)

"easy to find. good parking facilities. Staff all friendly and breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice. However we were very dissappointed by the room. Apart from the damp and dirty blanket. I expected the room to be bigger then a normal sized room as it was advertised as a quadraple. I booked the room for my edlerly mother (75) myself and two teenage daughters - I had to arrange for one of my daughters to say with my cousin due to the room being two small for 4 adults." "Adequate night stay!" (97443182)
The bathroom wasn't close to main door, the beds were comfortable. The Breakfast was lovely.
The decor was not very good, wall paper was peeling from the walls. Had room service, was not given all that was advertised with the meal. Very watery!. Over priced! Swimming pool was dirty. Tiles were missing from gacozi leaving gaps. Steam room, above outer door was covered in a powdery white, green mould. Toast machine at breakfast allowed the toast to go down the back. which was a pain as I ended up taking someone elses toast, very Embarrassing!

the check in boy was very good
the bed was terrible. it was so overused that is would role you into the middle. generally not comfortable. secondly we had booked two twin rooms and only one was avaible. this meant three men in one room sharing an already poor double bed and a ok single bed.

"Overall not a very pleasant experience. The young staff where pleasant enough but the overall service experience was poor. To have added £11.50 for breakfast made the hotel not good value for money. There are other hotels available in the area of a higher standard for the same money." (108090910)
The staff although exstremely young and ineparienced where friendly enough.
The room was basic and where in extreme need of redecorating. The walls where dirty. I took a shower when I arrived and again the next morning but had only been provided with one towel so needed to use a dirty and damp towel the second time. I was under the impression I had booked B&B, when I tried to get in the restaraunt the next morning I was told I was not eligible for breakfast and would be charged £11.50. I said I only wanted tea and toast but was given a blank look and told again that breakfast was £11.50 I declined. I asked about internet access in the room and was told it was £6.00 for one hour and £11 odd for 24 hours. The £6 covered 1 hour from when you logged in whether you had used it or not. Again I declined.
