Idyllic surroundings - lovely staff, extremely helpful and friendly - good Irish breakfast.
Our only problem - we felt it was a bit overpriced. The room was cramped and this was surprising as it was rated as 'executive' grade.

"With the booking of our hotel it would have been nice to say that we wanted rooms located next to or near to each other if possible, however when we arrived the staff were very accomodating and made sure our rooms were next to each other. We have varying food allergies and the restaurant staff really were helpful and did everything in their power to ensure we all enjoyed a varied selection of food within our dietry restrictions. The decor was pleasing and the overall atmosphere was relaxing, just what we needed." (99976064)
The accomodation was excellent with good clean facilities and very attentive staff who did their best to accomodate all our needs.

"The electronic room keys seem to be quiet problematic. It is quiet a nuisance to be forced to return to reception to reactive the key to gain access to the room on check-in. Otherwise, I was happy with my stay." (3305166648)

"I was expecting a larger room, especially as it was more expensive - we did pay for the extra luxuries like the fruit (three apples) and beautiful toiletries. The staff were lovely and it had a nice homely atmosphere." (97247384)
Excellent breakfast and friendly staff
Room was very small for an executuve suite (we booked for two adults and a child - they offered to put a bed in for the child but there wouldn't have been sufficient room) and the window didn't close properly.

"The hotel is ideal for weddings and bigger groups. It is a half hour drive to the city centre so too far out of Belfast to go out for a meal etc." (97252683)
The room was very comfortable
The bedroom smelt of smoke although it was a non-smoking room.

"At breakfast the following morning my partner ordered boiled eggs and received 2 raw eggs. Also on check out we were presented with a bill for the previous nights dinner, which we had already paid for on the previous night. Maybe its due to the age of the hotel but we were woken several times during the night with people in nearby rooms, talking laughing and messing about, wall dont seem to be very soundproof. The hotel in itself was nice and set in nice surrounding but I dont think I will be rushing back." (97563627)
Room was comfortable and warm despite the gap in the window frame.
Obviously room not checked thouroughly after last occupant left as we found a digital camera in the room.

"Overall we were pleased with our choice of hotel. It was a quiet weekend away and we got that. The breakfast was okay but would have preferred more choice from the buffet. Its a small dining room but the meal we had one evening was very nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful." (99569775)
Right size with 43 rooms, good location for local attractions. Quiet
Would have loved on site facilities for swimming, gym etc

"Clandeboye Lodge is a modern, very attractively designed country hotel. The rooms are luxurious, the restaurant is very good, the hotel is close to Belfast, the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Bangor. It is well-signposted and easy to find." (3305160251)
It was extremely comfortable and pleasant in every way.

"All in all an excellent hotel which i will happily recommend to friends. Staff were extremely friendly without intruding and the response to our minor issues was immediate and impressive. The meals were very good (especially the fish and chips from the lounge menu) and the Irish breakfast was superb on all 3 mornings." (3305091358)
Very pleasant surroundings. Staff were very helpful and accomodated our early check in request. Some of the extra items included in the executive room were missed during our first day at the hotel but this was quickly remidied once the staff were made aware of the issue. Excellent breakfast.
Our room was slightly smaller than expected and the view was obscured by some rather overgrown trees and bushes.

Everything spotless and pleasant to see.
Having to take the key back to reception three times to get it to open our door!

"Reception was excellent especially in giving me directions over the phone when I got lost. Bar was excellent in the evening and staff were very helpful" (97174657)
Comfortable room which met my requirements
Buffet breakfast choices a bit limited
