"The room was clean and the staff friendly, breakfast good. However the TV was small, the radio did not work and the shower was not fixed to the wall. It also was on a main road and the parking limited. However for the money we paid it was adequete and quiet at night." (97301772)
clean, good value for money
room bit dated, only single glazed and thin walls

"It was a nice hotel ,easy to find, good friendly staff. It couldn't have been easier to find. The booking was very easy.I did think that it was quite pricey as the rooms needed updating but other than that a very good experience" (97662662)
overall it was a very good experience. the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. the view from the windows was beautiful.A nice hotel
Its not so much something we disliked its just we felt the rooms could do with being updated. Its just a bit 1980's

"Welcoming and friendly staff make up for rather basic accomodation. Integrated Thai Restaurant was fairly good - however prices were at the upper end of what I was prepared to pay. Recommended if you are staying perhaps 1-2 nights: any more and you might feel cramped or need a bigger room. Suggest bathroom redesign - mixer taps and adjustable shower head would have been nice. Towels and soap provided (no shampoo). Overall fairly good value for money." (99160812)
Easy to get to, close to business venue
Room was rather unusual oblong shape - furniture a bit dated

"The rather dated 1960s furnishings throughout, the shower that was not efficient (temperature & spray), the plastic table cloth at breakfast, the plastic flowers" (99203519)
Cleanliness, excellent breakfast
Very small room

"As a place to stay whilst visiting family it was adequate. If I had been staying for an extended period of time (up to a week) I would have been disappointed." (97549653)
The service was pleasant; breakfast was a good start to the day.
Room was a little bit shabby, for example the lid to the toilet was not secured and when lifted came off. In fact the toilet seat itself was not secure and I had to fix it. A couple of ceilings in the public areas showed evidence of dampness.

"The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. They have a Thai restaurant and bar attached to the hotel where we ate during our stay. The food was fabulous and great value for money. A full English breakfast with cereals, toast, fruit juice and tea and coffee included in the stay." (99688436)
For me the best thing was the cleanliness, the bath etc gleamed. The view was lovely as well over the bay.

We found the accommodation provided for all our needs and above all was clean, we also found the Hotel location central to our needs.

The Hotel coukld do with a choice of menu, thai food is lovely but not for two nights running. Otherwise fine.
Nothing. It is a great shame that it is in Old Colwyn or Colwyn Bay the town is a disgrace and certainly needs looking at.

"The only two improvements I would like to see are: Double glazing would be beneficial in view of the proximity to the main road - not a huge problem during my stay as the traffic density was not very high. Secondly, the TV reception needs a slight improvement - though I'm not sure if local conditions/ topography would allow such an opportunity." (3304960098)

"The first impression of the hotel was disappointing, the front steps appear to require attention. The general feel of the hotel was that it appears to require some updating and repairs. We were not aware that there were no showers. One bedroom was inadequately furnished with poor lighting from one light in the ceiling, and no bedside lamps. Rate seemed very high for the accommodation offered." (3304728118)
Hot water for a bath.
Poor condition of furnishing in one room. Unsuitable furniture - table too small for kettle etc., no beside lamp. Rate too high for accommodation offered.

"Had I known that there would be no dinners served on either night, I would never have booked, we had been driving round all day and didn't want to go out in the evening, but had no real choice, not good enough, also could not have stayed more than 2 nights without a shower.I also requested a preference of ground floor accomodation especially if there were no lifts, when we got there the hotel had no ground floor rooms, and I had great difficulty managing all the stairs, had I been informed of this before booking i would have gone elsewhere." (2978777)
The owners were friendly, and the cost reasonable
Food was not available to paying guests on either night because dining room was booked out for party, normal menu should have been available to be served in the bar instead of just a few bar snacks, very dissappointed to have to go out to eat. All rooms should be fitted with showers, at the very least a hand held shower for washing hair,

"Generally the hotel was ok, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The accommodation and decor were tired but very clean. The breakfast was good although if one did not want a cooked breakfast the selection of alternatives is limited. Location wise the hotel was well situated and had excellent sea views. Price wise I feel it is at the top end for the standard of accommodation on offer." (97612399)
The view and the close location to our family whom we were visiting.
The decor is very tired and although there was a shower attachment this had to be hand held and there was not a shower curtain so this made the shower facilities primitive.
