"Overall we had a lovely stay at the hotel the staff are all very pleasant, I thought the restaurant mgr was very pleasant and attentive, the grounds are kept lovely, a lovely place to just go and chill out for the weekend, you dont have to be a golfer which me and my husband aren't to enjoy your stay." (99945528)
The room was nice and clean.
The fan in the bathroom was very noisy but I have to say I did not report this to the hotel, I am sure the cleaners are well aware of it?

"The hotel was OK for our visit to the V festival but I wouldnt stay again" (107242218)
The hotel was set in lovely grounds.
The hotel itself was a bit dated and not worth the amount charged per night. I stay in a great number of hotels and for the price we paid, I expect a much higher standard. In particular the staff at breakfast were useless - our order for tea, coffee, toast and eggs was taken after we'd chosen our average buffet breakfast, and didn't arrive until after we'd finished eating. The staff were very young and unconcerned.

"The whole experience was excellent. As a female travelling alone it can be quite difficult but the team at Patshull Park went out of their way to be of assistance and made me feel at ease during my visit. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again." (3305487421)

"despite the issues above it did not detract from what was a very plesant stay, in a well managed hotel will exceptionally friendly staff. In particular, trevor the night porter, who could not do enough to help. The above comments are not a complaint just feedback to help continuous improvement" (3305219529)
the staff were excellent and very welcoming. the grounds were lovely and i did leave feeling refreshed
the room had not been cleaned properly and still had the last guests breakfast order forms filled in on the desk. The bathroom was not clean and there was only 1 set of towles in a triple room. also the room attendant entered the room 3 times before 11 am

"Hotel looked fantastic and at the prices they charge ... it should have been. Sadly we got the feeling that they are living on reputation instead of spending money refurbishing the rooms and general bar area. We were at a wedding here and at least 2 of the other couples staying asked to be moved rooms, as we did. Unfortunatly all the rooms were the same. Even air conditioning would have been a bonus, instead we got a noisy fan!. Very very dissapointed, this hotel could be superb it the rooms are re furbished, the setting and leisure club are fantastic, food was excellent" (3304401747)
Food was good
Rooms looked like they had not been decorated for 20 years .... very very shabby

"the hotel was set in excellent grounds, the breakfast was very good. the room was small and basic. asked for a room with a nice view and got the view of a roof. the hotel lacked any kind of atmosphere in the evening. the bar area was ok to have a drink and nothing else. being in the middle of nowhere and during winter some sort of entertainment would've been good. would stay again but, hopefully in a room with a better view !" "Modernise the hotel particularly bringing the accommodation up to a much higher standard. For example, re-decoration, new carpets and upgraded lighting could be carried out at relatively low outlay and would vastly improve the feel of the hotel and would I am sure make guests feel more welcome. I would recommend the hotel because of its location but would caution about the standard of decor." (3304275623)
Excellent location and friendly, helpful staff.
The hotel needs to be updated. It is in a beautiful peaceful location but the decor needs upgrading.

Have no faults at all with the accommodation. All very clean and tidy.

"Excellent facilities and really postive experience! We'd love to return again when perhaps we have more time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings." (2888525)
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fantastic with its own balcolny and overlooking the lake. We enjoyed looking at the moon and lake from our room. The breakfast was outstanding! Our room was very large and well furnished. It was so nice to have the pool for the children to unwind in after sitting in traffic for a long time on the motorway. Overall a very pleasant stay!
Just a few things. One, is that it is quite far off the beaten track but it is signposted well. We had a bit of bother finding it because one of the roads we were advised to take, was closed. Also, the restaurant in the evening is very expensive, but there is cheaper food in the bar area until 6:30. Smoking in the lounge areas is off putting, but the rooms are all non-smoking.

"Phone charges and lack of on line faciliteis. As area has poor phone coverage and therefore you cannot dail up by your mobile either. I would suggest they put in a wi-fi broadband network to encourage business use especially as they have great conference facilites." (2746202)
The grounds and the lesuire faciliteis were excellent. The restuarant was aslo fantastic and the staff very good.
The room was gloomy and dark. Business faciliteis not good and phone charges for freephone dial up numbers very high charge rate should be fixed. This would actually stop me from using the hotel again.

"Do not be induced to book this hotel purely on the website review. Be specific about your room requirements. It is in the middle of the countryside and without a car you cannot make use of alternate local facilities without a long walk or a taxi. Drinks were very expensive. In the past this place probably looked the part but I have stayed in better places for much less money. I arrived home glad to see my bed and thnakful I wasn't staying another night, it was that restful. The only redeeming feature was the food in the restaurant in the evening it was superb and the waitress a real delight. As were the ladies in the cafe during the day. I did seriously contemplate talking to the manager after our first night at the hotel but I thought, no, your have accepted this booking knowing full well what a poor state the room was in when you gave it to me, so I will save my complaint for the web, that way other people can know and be more inofrmed than I was. As to the hotel, they reap what they sow." (99923046)
The hotel is generally in need of a refurbishment. The room we were allocated was upstairs via a set of stairs. The room had obviously had a leak in the past as the stain was visible down the wall and parts of the wallpaper were hanging off. The bed was shot on one side and very uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and had been well used. The layout of the room was dreadful and the 'view' of the lake from the window...well, our view was over the flat roof and the air conditioning units, piles of old vinyl etc. The noise from the units and the main water pipes that fed through our room kept me awake most of the first night. Sky tv was minimal subscription and no news channel!
