"We travelled down from the midlands for the George Michael/New Wembley Stadium concert, we parked up and used the tube as the station was a short walk from the Hotel.Very Convenient." (99004967)

Quiet (our room was on the back)and clean rooms, when we booked over the internet, the confimation advised the breakfast was continental, however, it was a nice suprise to have a full english for the same price.

I found it was a great hotel which was easy to find. It is very clean and welcoming.

"Some refurbishment being done which was annoying. We have never stayed in a hotel where the beds are not made up or does this apply to ALL B&B's? We would have preferred a double bed as well. Nice & clean." (107226188)

"Good value for money overall. Nice, helpful staff." (107149436)

Decent breakfast with great kitchen staff. A nice and helpful manager. Good value for money, good location. Quiet at night, no noise from other occupants. Lots & lots of parking!

Room could do with some air freshening! Otherwise, no bad points.

"Hotel seemed very good, was being refubished hense the fair on order/cleaniness. We had a room on the very top floor and the water pressure wasn't great but other than that would recommend as a good base when visiting london." (107246806)

Friendly staff and good alround service

"Very disappointed, this was my home town and I thought I would be happy to be back" (108071540)

    The beds were comfortable

First view on arriving, the staircase to rooms was bare wood, dirty and looked as thought the carpet had just been lifted. Wardrobe in the room had no doors and the decoration was very poor. The ensuite was far too small for an average sized man, could not rinse face in bowl after shaving. Showerhead blocked so only a trickle. Window catches did not work.

A very basic hotel which suited for one night only. Not too happy with the early breakfast and check out by 10 on Sunday morning.

    "OK" (108061272)

Very helpful, friendly staff - clean bedlinen and towels good breakfast

run-down hotel inside, not 100% clean, slightly musty smell in room (duvets, matrass, pillows?), sticky plastic table cloth in breakfast room

  • 9/10 Aubrey ( Solo leisure traveller)

"I was pleasantly suprised to find that Hindes Road is quite quiet. It is near a busy main road and a superstore, but this was no problem. For economy's sake, I booked a non-en-suite single room, but was given the option of up-grading to an en-suite when I arrived. I am glad that I did so, as it looked a long trek to the bathroom. I did not expect such a good breakfast - most London hotels just give a basic 'continental' job." (99352628)

Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet location. Reasonably near Tube station. Room recently refurbished. Good breakfast.

Filthy carpet on stairs & corridor. Basic furnishings of dining room.

"The staff were efficient and friendly and as a weekend stay over it is a good hotel." (97255429)

The hotel was easy to find from the motorway and is in a good location for other transport facilities aswell. It is also in a good location for resturaunts / shopping etc.

I felt the single rooms were just a little too small if you were going to be staying more than a weekend, apart from that, fantastic.

"A great all round experience. Many thanks. £59 for a twin room bed and breakfast can't be knocked. My friend got a single for £49 which I thought was a little expensive, but £59 divided two ways was better value. Car parking too, which was good." (97104650)

Staff very helpful, bed linen changed and very clean, very good situ close to town centre and tube station link. Breakfast fairly good, overall good.

    Nothing, it was all fine.

"won't use active hotels to book again" (97780881)

the staff were good, the hotel itself was adequate for my daughter & myself for the stay in london for the f.a. cup but that was all. a room to sleep in was what we needed so it fitted our needs.

when we arrived we told the receptionist we had paid on line & he said the hotel never pays that way only on arival which turned out to be the truth although we printed out the confirmation of payment????

Dingy, dirty room. Bathroom was particularly nasty. Hairs on the sheets.

"The guy who checked us in was very unfriendly. one of the switch cards had a problem with the chip so my friend paid but was tempted to say no other form of payment available then we could have found an alternative hotel. we then went to our room & found a double when we had booked a twin. no applogy ref this but were given the alternative which was enterd via the car park. the room was very basic & had a strong smell of polish/brasso which was still there in the morning.Breakfast was served between 8-9 which seemed an early end on a sunday . the guy who served breakfast was more of a 'mine host'but the plastic cloths on the table were very sticky which meant the sugar bowl etc were stuck down. we left the hotel at 9.00 which after a late night reflected that the overall stay was not very relaxing. after this experience i would now stick to booking hotels that were part of a known group e.g comfort inn / ibis etc. as this even though having stars came over as a bed & breakfast. i was also quite surprised that the Grimms Dyke hotel near by had the Hindes listed as 2nd in their list of local hotels as the 2 in accomodation etc are miles apart. thanks" (3304445599)

the fact our room - room 1 was entered from the car park hence we didnt need to enter the hotel
