The best you could say about anything was mediocre.

    Uncomfortable beds and unresponsive staff

Short journey from the City, better accommodation than available closer to the City. Spacious room. Excellent view from room.

Decor horrible! Choice of TV channels very limited. Noise from DLR might disturb light sleepers.

"They did take the breakfast from our bill and was told that next time email them and we would have a better room. The beds let the room down and the staff seamed down. Reception were on the ball. If they get better beds and improved the breakfast experience i would return." (107144590)

The room and hotel was clean and the towels were fresh. The room windows out side needed a good clean as you could not see that well out of them.

The beds were hard and uncomfortable, the breakfast was not very appetising, the hash browns were burnt and the scambled egg was bad. The restaurant staff were not very helpful. There was know clean tables in the restaurant for the next guest (8am) but we did notice a improvement as time went on.

"Good for one night. No good if you are after luxury." (108048244)

Staff very helpful. Location is very good for canary wharf - we could walk to some good bars etc. We got a free upgrade to a big room.

The hotel was faded grandure - we did get good value for money because we got a cheap rate and a big room, but if I had paid full price for the room that we booked I would have been disappointed as it was all old furniture and the jacuzi was lame.

"A really pleasant, clean and efficient hotel ideally situated for expoloring Canary Wharf and visiting the O2." (108062066)

Many good points, clean, friendly, helpful.

Car parking system. To use the car park for 24 hours was £21 - not too bad for a London car park - but be aware if you need to take you car out you will be charged by the hour - we paid £18 for 6 hours - when we got back the clock starts again so 24 hours in total would have cost us £39. We were lucky as it was the weekend and found free parking round the corner on the road after being 'stung' for the £18.

"we were looking forwarded to staying at the Brittania Hotel we did enjoy the wedding reception that was held in the hotel, but felt very let down by the whole experience and came away vowing never to stay in a Brittania hotel again. we have stayed in hotels across the world and this dosen't compare positively with any of those." (97197149)

room was very tired, hairdryer not working, iron just leaked water, room temp not easy to maintain. car park extortionate for guests. food was almost inedible its presentation was very poor and the restaurant staff had no interest in their customers.

"This hotel is way too expensive for the quality of the hotel. The rooms are tired and in need of decoration. Most of the hotel is in need of decoration. The bar area is minute and feels like you are walking into an enclosed cage. The bar staff are surly. This hotel should be classed as a 2 star and charge 70 per night, not 200. I couldn't recommend it to anyone" (97668744)

The room was very tired, in need of decoration. Tiny bathroom with 'gold' taps that had hardly any 'gold' left on them.

The hotel and room were very clean.

The train line outside was quite loud. The double bed was actually 2 single matresses which were uncomfortable if you lied in the middle. The shower was a waste of time as their was no power but their was hot water for a bath.

There were lengthy queues for the bar when we returned from the concert in the Dome and the table which we sat at was dirty with food debris etc. Overall, this hotel is dowdy" (97996123)

The size of room was excellent, plenty of space.

The bathroom, the sink drain very slowly making shaving and cleaning teeth very difficult, and because you have shower curtains the bathroom floor became very very wet.

"Great hotel in a great location. I was working in Canary Wharf and this hotel was 5-10 minutes walk from the office. Restaurant food was of limited choice but great quality. They offered half bottles of wines but this was not mentioned in any of the menus. It was only when I overheard another customer ask that I realised! The WiFi was free but reception in my room was flaky even though a wifi router was just outside my room on the ceiling. Good reception in the bar though with lots of comfy leather chairs and a big TV for sporting events etc. There were quiet corners too for those that required them - it was not a noisy bar. As stated above, my double room was a twin with the beds pushed together which was not as comfortable as it should be, and the electronic keycard was a problem for me and at least 2 other guests that I noticed. Other than that, a good hotel!" (97987661)

Excellent hotel, lots of facilities, good location and very friendly and helpful staff. A meal in the restaurant was top quality.

The minor problem of the electronic keycard not working in the door (worked first time for the hotel staff) seems like it needed to be forced to the left to work. Main problem was the bed - two singles pushed together is not a double bed. I like to stretch out and a big uncomfortable crease in the middle of the bed does not make a good nights sleep.
