Room very quiet. Quick and functional lifts to all floors. Heating/air conditioning controllable from the room.
Cracked basin in bathroom (room 434). Hot/cold water controls on bath difficult to turn (danger of scalding).

"The Location of the hotel was very good - short walk to the local amenities and the the underground. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. the man at the doors who greets you on arrival was exceptional! Overall i can honestly say that if in London again, i will definitely use this hotel again. I travel i great deal, and i can honestly say that this was one of my most pleasant and easy stays in a hotel. You shouldbe extremely proud of the environment you have created. Thank you." (97442391)
The location, the staff, the room (contains everything you would possibly require), the hotel bar - list is endless!
the only thing (and this is very small in comparasion) is that we were woken at 08.30 on monday morning by the cleaners knocking on our door(we needed a lie in as we had a late night previously) we just got back to sleep and then the window cleaner knocked on our door 10min later.

"I was put in a non smoking room on the 11th floor, however i could smell smoke in my room, very strongly. I notified reception and I was immediately transferred to floor 5. I was notifeid that the smoking floor was on the 10th floor ie below my original room. I would suggest you put the smokers on the top floor to prevent this sort of thing happening." (97159076)

"The hotel is a great place to stay as regards to the general friendliness of the staff and the efficiency with which they carry out their duties. The rooms are large, clean and in good taste and are always being updated. The room service was good and the food excellent. I have stayed at this hotel many times for the above reasons. Recommended highly!!! Doris from Horton." (99457236)
The view over the cricket ground and St. John's Wood Park and being able to get some fresh air in the morning in a safe place.

Location and surroundings
Room was a bit tired in decor terms. Very dissappointed with work in the hotel commencing at 8am. I was offered a complimentary breakfast because of this (when I phoned to complain), but I didn't book this at the time because I didn't want to have breakfast here, so I wasn't just going to take it for the sake of it.

"Despite the initial poor service, the hotel was central, clean, and good value for money." (97267940)
Poor service at reception, initially booked into a room on the 4th floor that wasn't accessible! returned to reception, and had great difficultly in explaining why I was there and couldn't physically get to my room due to it being boarded up!

staff were generally rude, we costantly had people trying to open our door before check out time also a member of staff rudely asked us to leave half an hour before we had to. we vacated our room at 12 as advised but we felt to rush as we were rudely hurried out of our accomodation.

"I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions under various owners, Hilton, Ramada etc and although the price per night has steadily increased i have yet to see a marked increase in the facilities/room decor, although i believe some improvements are being made at the moment. If it wasn't for this hotel's location, which is excellent, i would not go out of my way to stay here." (97098772)
It's location.
Nothing specific but it just had an uninteresting atmosphere and very basic rooms for the price.

"The room was clean and well presented although a little on the small side if you were staying for more than one night. Staff were friendly although on such a short stay we had little to do with them. We were disappointed that we couldn't check in earlier than 2pm but on the upside we didn't have to check out till 12pm. Great little cafe next door to hotel, ideal for breakfast." (99177174)
Good location and very good value for money. Room was clean.
We were disappointed to discover that some of the towels had holes in them. Breakfast very expensive.

"Staff great - friendly and helpful - but room generally a bit shabby. Bar ran out of glasses and was very slow as a result - ended up with 2 mismatched glasses - one dirty. With a bit more attention to detail this hotel could be lovely." (99839290)
I had a free upgrade which was great.
Attention to detail in the room was poor - for example poor retiling behind toilet, all seemed just a bit shabby.

"The hotel is very convienient for Lords cricket ground and we would stay there again. The staff are very helpful and welcoming, parked the car, carried our bags and resolved any queries effeciently. The restaurant is good value and the quality of food was also good. The breakfast and carvery buffets were extensive and paticularly good value. The serving staff were always pleasant and attentive. Our room was very clean with plenty of toiletries and towels in the bathroom. A fridge was provided in the room and the television reception was excellent (not always the case in hotels). The in room channels would benefit from the addition of Sky Sports. Overall, a very convienient location for our trip to the Test Match with adequate rooms and excellent staff. We will return!" (99233412)
Very clean room, good value restaurant and wine list and close to Lords Cricket Ground
Smell of smoke in room although requested non smoking room, heating did not work one night, however a heater was provided quickly. No Sky sports channel on TV.

"We enjoyed the hotel and would definately stay there again. The location was in a delightful section of London, right next to Regent's Park in St. John's Wood. Our room had ample natural light. The room service was punctual, the food choices were varied and of good quality. Little touches above and beyond the coffee and tea were cookies. The concierge was most helpful answering all of our questions." (3304479791)
