"A good clean guest house within easy reach to expolre Stratford. only five minutes walk from the town. Parking in the public carpark was not a problem either. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Breakfast was continental but there was plenty of it and it made a nice change not to find the typical full english." (97157247)

Clean and tidy ideally situated to explore

We were with friends and opted for this room over the garden room as our friends would not have been able to manage the stairs.Had we known we would have requested lower rooms. But all in all we had a very enjoyable stay. Many thanks,." Clean and quiet!

Two separate taps for cold & hot water.....troublesome especially when the weather is cold.

Very clean and pleasant room in the garden and free parking.

Breakfast times a little too early and limited for a weekend break.

"Welcome was good. Staff very helpful and friendly indeed. Room was small, but beautifully clean with everything you would expect and set in a very pleasant garden location. Breakfast was excellent - continental style - with hot croissants, cheeses, ham, freshly boiled eggs and cereals amongst other things. Good for vegetarians. Owner supplied a parking pass which was most welcome and the premises is within easy walking distance of all the main attractions." (3305342580)

Very clean, comfortable and well maintained. Good facilities and well positioned for the town centre, theatres and main attractions.

    Cousy atmosphere

    nothing

"Would have liked to have known to bring own sheets and pillow cases...even though facility was clean, not sure about bed covers other than bottom sheet. Should have booked earlier, because there are ground floor rooms that would have been cooler. As it was, we were sweltering along with anyone else who had a second or higher floor room in Stratford during heat wave." (3304847728)

The location was excellent. Bathroom clean and shower performed well.

Stayed two nights during heat wave...no air conditioning. Only bottom sheet on bed, no cover sheets leaving one to wonder who last slept in bed. No real pillow cases either.

Convenience to rail and theaters. Decoration of main rooms. Quality of breakfast. Access to internet.

Not much ventilation in my room, although there was a fan. There was a hot spell while I was in town.

Nothing really, except the disdain for credit cards.

The breakfast is a healthy option rather than the stodgy full-English variety but there is plenty to help yourself to on the buffet. The Hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and theatres." (3304920042)

  • 7/10 Joy ( Mature couple)

    from Hanworth , United Kingdom;GB  on  February 22, 2006

"Homely, nicely decorated rooms, pleasant staff, very nice breakfast. Modern shower and toilet facilities. All of our questions were answered. Within walking distance of many historical buildings. Very pleasant town eventhough it is very busy. The modern part of the town is discreet but has a good shopping centre if you fancy a shopping spree. Very picturesque River Avon very close by. We found two theatres by the River Avon. A butterfly farm within walking distance" (3304262434)

Our accommodation was not noisy eventhough it was in the heart of town. Well positioned for visiting historical places of interest.

Up to date information on plays, films, good eating places etc. The beds were not at all comfortable due to springs in matresses. The beds also creaked which tended to wake us up when we moved in our sleep. Information needed to use the hair dryer. We thought it was broken!

Obvious care and attention to the look of the hotel individualistic, warm friendly and touches that made it special and relaxing

  • 8/10 Anonymous ( Solo leisure traveller)

"The hotel is on a busy street close to traffic lights. Guests need a clearer steer on where to park up while they register at hotel reception. This is particularly because they will be given a free parking permit at reception - so there is no point in paying handsomely for extended parking. I was lucky, but it could be a problem." (3304168352)

Clean, efficient, comfortable. Heating in the room could be controlled - v often not the case.

No cooked breakfast was available - I can't recall if this was explained on their website.

"The guest house is in fantastic location for the train station, and good for the town. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was a buffet continental style, it was ok but I would have prefered a fry up. The owner made you book a time for breakfast, we turned up 5 mins late and he was getting worried. I would like the ability to show up for breakfast whenever I wanted to. If you dont mind this then the hotel is fine." (2465744)

    Very close to train station.

Allocated time for breakfast left no feeling of freedom. Owner was a little protective of everything. Breakfast was average.
