"Great place to stay with a good restaurant. I have seen some of the complaints from other people that have stayed here. I can't understand what their problems were. Maybe they were royalty or just very hard to please. " (97272615)
Nice Hotel, tidy grounds with friendly and helpful staff.

"Well booked room on line got confirmation but on arrival at hotel there was no sign on the computer of our booking. Also when we wanted a room extension we were told we had to pay the full rate for another night. Never been in a hotel where they charge the full price for a room extension, would suggest you charge hourly for that. Would have liked more information on the leisure facilities and use of them." (97867098)
The accommodation in the Executive room was excellent very spacious and very clean and tidy. The room was also very quiet and relaxing.
Nothing.

"This is the third occassion we have stayed at the Waterside in the last few weeks, from the outset they were considerate to our needs( late check out and groundfloor twin for elderly parents) The hotel is warm and comfortable and although the reason for our visits was not entirely holiday we are now considering a few days break there. The restaurant is beautiful and the food good and well cooked with a huge selection of dishes. Each time we go the standard is the same both in accommodation and restaurant, because I am a hotelier I am often somewhat critical of where we stay , but this is not the case at Waterside" (97210222)
Clean, neat and what we needed,
would have preferred a king size bed

"This hotel does not have to tout for business as it is always full due to a lack of hotels in the area. This is very apparent in lack of interest/experience in restaurant staff and overall attention to detail generally. However it shoul dbe noted that reception staff are helpful and efficeint." (97013031)
Poor service in restaurant. Had a executive room and no toiletries appeared until the third day of my stay.

Nice, efficient staff, good sized suite type room, attractive communal areas, quiet
bed linen could have been newer, clean but a little tired.

"I was extremely impressed by the courteous nature of all of the staff. They were genuinely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Their attitude was reflected by the duty mamager next morning. Whilst having coffee in the lounge I noticed him outside clipping a hedge which was overgrown and against the window. He even managed to do it without cutting his tie off! Good for him and his staff. I will definitely visit the hotel again." (97014281)
Large and spacious room, very well appointed.
The room was quite a long way from reception, but not really a problem.

"This has been, at one time, a very nice hotel, the facilities were of a good standard, nice gym and swimming pool, BUT the rooms were tatty, clean but a bit smelly, not what I would expect of a 4 star hotel, Breakfast was acceptable but again not 4 star worth. I would go back to this hotel but only if the price was at the reduced online rate." (3305216821)
It was cheap, and handy to where I wanted to be
Rooms were a bit tatty no rooms for 4 or rooms interconnecting doors for families.

"Excellent location and overall we enjoyed our stay although we were a bit shocked with the rooms for a swallow 4 star hotel. Food and service was great. Leisure facilities were good but rooms had a clothes rail for clothes (no wardrobe). Walls were made from breeze blocks painted cream, old fashioned velvet headboard with cigarette burns in, very small and cramped." (3304281580)

"We were very disappointed about the hotel and it's service, no way we would ever book a room there again..." (2756826)
We weren't satified with the accomodation.
The accomodation we were in was is a poor state of maintenance and was dated. Apart from the lady in the breakfast room all staff made the impression that they were forced to work there and didn't enjoy it. When we checked out we had to jump over masses of laundry lying on the floors of the gangways.

"After having to wait over 1 hour to find a taxi to take me to the hotel, I was tired and cold. On entry to the hotel where we had checked in earlier we requested a round of sandwiches and a drink to be sent to our room. The night porter could not oblige and openly said he was in the middle of his tea. The staff member on the desk had to see to us instead. Not a very pleasant experience to be met with a 3am!" (2673780)
I found the sofa slashed in 2 places which I did expect? I still had to pay the full price of £110 for suite of disrepair.

"The restaurant is in desperate need of a visit from Gorden Ramsey to insert the Chef's microwave up His ****, nice menu on paper, but the quality is a ripoff. Watch out for the *** in the menu, this mean's it is priced as a starter (although it's in the main's section)and they will charge double for this as a main, be warned, there is nothing in the menu to state this, you find out as you order." "Rooms are spacious and have room to work as well as sleep; irons and ironing boards were in the room - this is important for business travellers. Bar meals were available - a good alternative to the formal restaurant facility - and room service 24 hrs was also available - this is something I have not had in other hotels and have had to travel into town to eat after 2045. I did not try the leisure facilities - typically I would have swum before work. Incidentally, I could not find and information pack in the room on the hotel facilities, opening times etc. I chose the hotel simply because Aberdeen had no accommodation and I was working in Dyce - a long drive. Unfortunate because if the hotel were a little closer I would definitely use it on my next visit." (2323599)

"Family room was welcome but it quite clearly, along with bathroom had seen better days. More info could have been given out at reception on arrival about facilities, dinner, breakfast etc. Staff were preoccupied with wedding guests. Reception was helpful later however on providing info on eating in town and taxis however. Overall an enjoyable stay although a bit pricy considering room, also extra charge of £5 for just having breakfast in room was excessive" (2194925)
Good swimming pool, adequate family accomodation, friendly helpful staff
room could be updated, felt a little 'put to one side' by staff as a wedding was taking place on sat.
