"OK if just for one night but would not have wanted to stay any longer. Fine before stopover before catching flight but not a place to linger" (97871809)
Nice Pool
Dismayed by Insect killer sprays outside every door! Not a positive first impression. Staff took five minutes to appear at reception desk when I arrived.

"Good value for money." (97175480)
Near to town and railway station as we came from Bordeaux by train. The pool and the air-conditioning were appreciated as the summer weather was warm. The reception area and general areas gave a light and modern impression. Good level of attention from the staff.
Some technical facilities in the room needed adjusting to work correctly, which I did before using them.

"I would have liked to have known that the hotel has no lift." (97349641)
It was a good value for the money and centrally located.
The bathroom arrangement was odd - the toilet and wash facilites in separate rooms - also no shower curtain or enclosure so water all over the place and a rather high bathtub to step into to take a shower was rather difficult for an elderly person. As in many hotels in Europe no elevator makes it a little difficult for disabled persons.

"I enjoyed our stay and the hotel met our needs." (97469906)
The hotel had excellent parking facilities and the staff was very helpful.
This is a hotel that is perfect for a stay in the country, but guests need to understand that they are not staying in a city hotel. Given the right frame of mind, it is an excellent choice. Sometimes we Americans are not in the proper frame of mind and our expectations are not met. Also the Exchange rate increases the cost of items in Europe relative to the US at the present time.

"I felt welcome, comfortable and safe. The room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the help given by the person at the reception desk in marking the nearest ABM locations on a map. I liked the location of the hotel - quiet but convenient to the shopping area in the centre of town. Margaret Kitchenr, Ontario Canada" (97231534)
I felt welcome immediately. The young man at the reception desk took my bags to my room. When I asked about the nearest ABM he brought me a map right away and marked out the locations of the nearest ones, assuring me that it would be safe to use them. I found the room, including the bed, comfortable and clean. I was able to get BBC World on the TV. In the mrning the staff, including the maid and the staff serving breakfast were friendly and helpful
I would prefer not to have to use stairs, but my room was one floor up and at the top of the stairs, where I felt safe.

"Two of our party had mobility problems and a lift would have been helpful, they would also have appreciated help with their cases. It would have been nice to be able to get a hot drink in the evening and/or a nightcap together when they got back to the hotel but this was not forthcoming! It was mentioned amongst the group that tea making facilities in the room would have been nice. Some of the rooms had hairdryers whilst others did not - would have been nice to have them in all rooms. Although this review does sound negative, we did enjoy our stay and the hotel was really well situated for sight seeing in Bergerac. I personally would use it again. As far as value for money goes, it could not be beaten!!" (99159104)
The room was clean and the hotel were very good about us leaving our cases in the reception area on the day we booked out. (Our onward transport did not arrive until 14.30.) The hotel pool area was clean and well maintained. Staff were helpful.

The staff couldn't have done more to help us and were very nice to our 2 year old son who can be a bit of a handfull. We had a swim in the pool each morning which is set in loveley gardens. Bergerac is a loveley picturesqe place to stay with pleanty of nice shops cafes and restaraunts. The train station which was only a few minutes walk from the hotel had excellent links to Bordeaux and Sarlat" (99788495)

Location to the old town of Bergerac was perfect for an evening stroll to one of the many restaurants. Off road parking and addition of overnight security were most welcome. Hotel staff could not have been nicer. Overall the Hotel was well run and very well kept.
Road traffic noise from very early in the morning. Due to the warm temperatures we had to leave the windows open.

"Overall I feel this Hotel is better suited to a short break rather than the amount of time we spent there. The friendliness of the staff cannot be faulted and I can recommend this Hotel." (99044763)
The room was very clean, as was the Swimming Pool, and the gardens were very relaxing.
For a Three Star Hotel I would have expected the room to have had facilities such as Hot Drinks, and a Hair Drier. One criticism: ordered hot drinks had a tendency to turn up luke warm!

A very good room and breakfast. I was impressed by the safe car-parking facility too - so long as your car is a small one.(The entrance to this parking is not very wide!)
A little difficult to find, especially when you arrive late at night. It is close to the railway station, so make sure your map taken off the internet includes the station.

"The info i read from other reviews was great.Although early march on a monday it,s a ghost town so restaurants are scarce in the evening and most shops are closed daytime. There is a good place to eat on the river, with a balcony overlooking the water, they have a set menu with fab food. All this with the added bonus of a €10, 15 minute taxi ride to the airport made life very easy." (99595249)

"This was a good hotel for an overnight stay and was very reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and friendly and there was parking available. The only thing we didn't check was if there was a lift - there isn't. Although we only stayed one night were were on a ten day holiday and had to heave two heavy suitcases up to the second floor - no biggy but I feel we should have checked. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked very inviting." (3305126852)
The location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from the old town. The staff were extremely helpful. The reception and communal areas were bright and welcoming.
The bathroom. It was rather old fashioned and small the loo was separate from the bathroom. There was nowhere to put any stuff. There was no shower curtain and the bath was a small one.

"A comfortable and reasonably priced hotel which is ideal for a short stay. Secure parking and easy walking to the old town add to its appeal. Don't be put off by its external appearance or its slightly retro interior - the staff are all friendly, it's good value and it makes a change from staying in the standard boxes of the international hotal chains." (3304965901)
Short distance from the old part of Bergerac. The triple room is ideal if you have a pre/early teen with you as it has separate adjoining sleeping area.
The hotel lacks a decent bar.

The quad room was clean and comfortable with a separate room off it with bunks for the kids. We had some good weather over the two days which meant the lovely, secluded pool area was thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel is an easy 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Bergerac and the old town, making it much quieter at night than the more central hotels e.g on the Rue de la Resistance.
No tea/coffee facilities in room. Decor, fabric and furniture is generally dated and unimaginative but functional - but this did not detract as the room was good value overall. Breakfast was basic.
