    "Pleasant courteous multilingual staff on hand from car parking to checkout. Excellent restaurant with good service and menu. The hotel is in a lovely setting and is like your own country retreat in the heart of the Champaign region." (3305311936)

    Lovely quiet rural setting in the midst of the Champaign country, with beautiful views all round

    Lack of ability to control the hot and cold water. Resulting in a combined scalding and cold shower. Totally unacceptable in these days of thermostatic shower mixer valves.

    "The bedroom was certainly comfortable and extremely well decorated. Despite being the lowest cost room (Classique double) there was plenty of space for a one night stay, the room was quiet, the room temperature was easily controlled (it was, in fact, quite a cold wet day when we stayed) the bed was very comfortable and the romm was well appointed. Aside from a somewhat inadequate shower over the bath, the room was excellent in all respoects. The restaurant was top flight with good, well -prepared and presented dishes at a price that was very fair for the quality of cuisine. The wine list is extensive, though a little on the pricey side. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, courteous and unobtrusive. I would strongly recommend eating eating in the hotel if staying overnight." (3304291594)

    The room was clean, warm, excellently decorated and well appointed. Staff were polite, attentive and efficient.

    The only area that was not quite as good as the rest of the hotel (which is why I did not rate the equipment as excellent but only good was that the shower was attached to the bath but there was no shower screen, which meant that if the shower attachment was actually used as a stand-up shower the bathroom would have been sprayed with a significant amount of water!

    Courtesy and friendliness of staff; dinner and wines excellent

    The staff were friendly and fast to attend any requirements. The location was excellent set into the hillside and the vineyards.

    "Overall we were very happy with la Briqueterie in particular the helpful staff. We were very impressed that when we ate in there superb restaurant, thery provided a baby sitter at no charge. The location of the hotel in Epernay is good, but you definetly would need a car to get to all of the Champagne houses. I feeel that we were well informed about the hotel on booking, as we had been planning the holiday for some time, however if people are travelling with young children, they should know that room service does not start till 7.00 pm and it is only food available at the gormet restaurant, so head out to Epernay with the children for their meals."     As a family with young children the adjoining rooms very very good as the rooms connected via a enterance way, which gave parents privacy whilst allowing the children to be close.

    Really, for a Relais & Chateau property it lacked a little finesse - bathrooms very dated.

    "We were made so welcome and our rooms were changed because our disabled son could not use the stairs (no lift).The staff were very helpful, extremely efficient and made us feel special and our son was treated with the dignity that he deserves.Dinner in the restaurant was magical the best one of the holiday for us."     "As a frequent traveller to all over the world, I can state that this hotel is one of the place that I would like to go back again. The staff is very friendly and the hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere. It has gym, sauna, swimming pool and even the helicopter port. You will need to tell the hotel whether you would like to have supper at the hotel as it is normally very busy and you won't be able to get a table without advance notice. If you are looking for something extra than a normal then this is the place to go." (2748500)

    "I have used this hotel before and it has remained one of my favourite hotels in terms of location and the true french gastronomic dining experience. The only slight problems I always have around Epernay is the somewhat haphazard state of the local road signs and directions." (2446574)

    Joli et agréable hotel dans une région très sympathique (vin!). Le temps était frais mais superbe.

    site Mappy pour la localisation pas clair. Prix des boissons (8euro pour une bière pression!) et du dîner trop élevés. Les portions (à la carte) étaient microscopiques et pas spécialement gastronomiques (on comprend mieux pourquoi l'établissement a perdu son étoile dans le guide Michelin!). La carte des vins très riche mais de nouveau à des prix impressionnants (même pour les vins locaux!).
