    restaurant facilities good and staff were very helpful and cheerful. choice of carvery was limited although the beef was excellent.

    noairconditioning during the very hot weekend. Lift broke down as we were checking out therefore we had no option but to carry our cases down the stairs. the reception were too busy to deal with the fault.

    i booked a double bedroom with DOUBLE BED, and they gave me a double bedroom with TWIN bed. The others bedrooms were crowed, so i had to sleep with my wife in two beds, without any discount!

    staff were friendly and helpful.

    hotel advertised as "10 minutes from city centre"- at least 20 minutes. hotel in need of a refurbish, rooms very basic and no extras eg morning newspaper, only basic toiletries (one bottle only in bathroom was for shower,shampoo and hand wash)

    Location next to M4

    Room was no smoking but there was a smell of cigars in the room. I payed for 24 hours of wireless access but it did not work the next morning.

    it was nice, the people were friendly and polite.the rooms suited our requirements such as space and facilities in room provided such as blow dryer and iron..

    we had to travel quite a bit to where we wanted to go but overall it was good

    "The hotel had a good standard of cleanliness with efficient staff at the front desk. The room was spacious with a good ensuite shower room. I liked the option of a second pillow & the clothes hanging space. The bed was pretty comfortable (though could perhaps have had an extra blanket as it was a cold night & I also had to use a coat as a cover." (99036450)

    Provided the facilities I required. The location of the hotel was perfectly situated and close to my company's offices.

    The temperature within the hotel was too high. Some of the public areas need a little attention/refurb.

    Good facilities, close to motorway,light good sized room.Breakfast selection good

    One of the windows had a large crack in it. The room was too warm.

    "I would like to have known more about the catering facilities i.e. what was available in the restaurant for breakfast, and if there was any alternative to the evening meal in the restaurant. I was also confused about payment. I was led to believe that I had paid in advance, but was asked on arrival to provide my debit card and pin number. and again on departure. I sincerely hopde that I have not been charged more than once. Even if I have not, it was not clear. My husband found on his visit to the spa that the hairdrier was broken." (99170255)

    It was reasonably comfortable with adequate tea/coffee facilities.

    The bathroom was cold and when I tried to use the shampoo it came away from the dispenser. There was also a broken hanger in the wardrobe.

    "Good, mid priced, budget accomodation. Not flash or luxurious, but clean tidy and spacious. Breakfast finished at 10am on Sunday, which for those of us with raging hangovers was a little early. Went to the Village Hotel up the road for breakfast, which was still being served at 11.00." (99922915)

    Pay TV did not function correctly. Pressed INFo button and had nessage to wait while connecting, then error message telling me that could not connect. I have no idea whether I got through to the Pay TV or not.

    "You are lucky to retain your star rating. I certainly would be embarrassed to attach a name like Quality to this hotel. I noticed that your public notices regarding H&S were adhoc and written by un-trained personnel. Many things did not function. Your staff were too few for meal service, 3/4 staff to service the evening customers was way short. I was pleased to leave to go to work. These things can be fixed if you commit to do it.     Very poor meal, poor service. Room and corridor smelt terribly of damp and bacteria.

    The room in its self was fine, with everything in its place and was clean.

    The room had no heating apart from a small mobile pane heater which must have been an after thought, it was quite cold on entering the room and was not able to remove my jacket for a few hours, i know i paid a reduced rate of £65.00, however the room should still include central heating as in the other rooms. ?

    "Room was a good size and the beds were comfy but we had no towels and although we asked for them didn't get them for four hours (we used the pool facilities). In the restaurant my daughter was served her starter(soup) which she ate and plate removed before I even got my starter, the rolls were stale and we were only given a choice of two deserts xmas pudding or profiteroles.     "Reception staff were good and the hotel was warm, clean and comfortable. However, the breakfast was abysmal. The scrambled egg was wet and tasteless, bacon was thin and wet, sausages were the cheapest and nastiest I have ever seen and the tomatoes were tinned.     "Although I was happy with the hotel and service I would not rebook here due to the noise of people leaving the bar in the early hours. Which kep us awake. I feel the staff should have acted quickly to move these people on or at least ask them to keep the noise down." (3305478075)

    Ideal location to visit Cardiff

    Everything was great except that in the early hours of the morning there was a great deal of noise from people outside. This went on for some time and was rather annoying as we had an early start the next day.

    "We stayed in a triple room which included a single bed and a double bed, the staff were friendly and helpful, the parking was good with designated parking for female guests which was reassuring. Despite being close to the motorway our bedroom was very quiet. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were small but clean. (The young lady who served me at reception on Friday morning could not have been more pleasant & deserves praise from her manager!) The public area downstairs (bar/restaurant/reception) was very attractive. Plenty of comfortable seats in this public area. It would have been nice to know the opening times of the swimming pool, sadly I arrived too late to use it. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and I expect to stay there again."     We liked excellent geographic situation of the hotel. We really appreciated swimming pool in the hotel.

    During the weekend some wedding were organize in the hotel, and it was noisy outside. We were waked-up many times. We dislike that it was not possible to go to the swimming pool with our kid after 6.30 pm

    Whilst the hotel was very clean I felt it is in need of some refurbishment. Every thing in my room was worn as were most things in the hotel. The dinning area was very poor it was like eating in a large function room.
