"We found all the informationon line ans were expacting the hotel to be good.We were not disssapointed. The location was good for the City and Cardiff bay with a short walk to both. Being a liitle way from the City center made the location quiet. The ambience in the hotel was great.Staff and service good. We will stay here agian and would recommend it to friends" (97799650)

staff and facilities were excellent... lost power in my room and staff fixed the problem while i was out for the day.

"Public areas are modern and stylish, and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast cost extra, but was a buffet and reasonably good value. Gym facilities were free and excellent." (97412554)
Comfortable room, excellent gym facilities, good buffet breakfast. Late breakfast and 5pm checkout available on Sunday.
A little far from the centre (10 minutes walk).

Very smart hotel, with sympathetic architecture that blends the modern with the old. Attractive and contemporary overall interior design. Great location within walking distance of the centre as well as the Cardiff Bay area. Pool a bonus.
Rather expensive breakfast. Duvet more suitable for a winter stay.

"This hotel is one of the best i have stayed in and has a lot to offer people. It has a great pool and gym. The whole place is spaceous and the decor is minimal but very modern. The restaurant serves a great buffet breakfast and has something for everyone. You can get some great room prices when booking on line." (97693903)
We have stayed in this hotel a few times and have and would definately recomend it.It clean with modern decor and has everything you could need, to offer and serves a great buffet breakfast, there is something for everyone.
We ate food in the bar area and i did not feel that you got value for money, you are looking at between £7 - £10 for a sandwhich and it was not the best i've had

Food and general facilities very good, the free use of the leisure facilities was particularly appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Some peeling paint in the bathroom which was disappointing as the room was billed as "recently refurbished". A room service tray along the corridor was left uncollected all day long until I reported it to the front desk.

"I had only one minor issue - use of the in-room iron left a small stain on my shirt (presumably someone before me had ironed something which wasn't clean). My issue was dealt with very promptly and with professionalism and courtesy which left me in no doubt that this was a hotel with staff well deserving of their 4-star status. All in all an excellent hotel which I will stay in again." (97384784)

"Hotel was really relaxing to stay in,room very comfortable. The gym and pool were small but modern - used them twice over duration. Only complaint was hot water in shower was very luke warm - would have liked it to be much hotter! Had room service one evening and it was very quick coming and was good quality if a bit expensive." The room was very clean & spacious. The hotel had a good location, was in walking distance of the city centre.

Good size and clean room and the bed was very comfortable.
A good 10 min walk to city centre. We found the bar area not very clean! the was dust around the lampshades and the carpet had dirt visable. Food and bar prices very very expensive!!!

"My husband and I were very impressed with the hotel, particularly the friendliness of the staff - from the front of house staff to the cleaner who was cleaning the lift when we got in!! The leisure facilities were excellent and we used them every day. The food was also very good with an impressive selection at breakfast. Our room was lovely and spacious." (97494011)

"The hotel restaurant service and food was excellent. Very impressed with the choice for breakfast and there were plenty of waiters and waitresses who were attentive to customer needs. "We have stayed at the Novotel 3 times in the last 18 months and probably 6 times at the McDonald Holland House. Our daughter has recently move to Cardiff Bay and the Novotel was in a more convenient location for this stay. However, I would say that the McDonald Holland offers a higher quality with proper glasses being available both in the room and bathroom, and also they provide 'Sky ' channels including all sports." "Hotel ideally located for the CIA and city centre. Parking a great advantage. General appearance of the hotel was very contemporary and striking. Accommodation was great - very clean and spacious. Bed great - nice and big and not cramped, linen crisp & fresh. Air conditioning in rooms was excellent. All facilities within the room were excellent - bathroom modern and also spacious. Location
The temperature of the water from the shower was impossible to ocntrol and resulted in cold shower. The toilet roll provided in the bathroom was uncomfortable. There was too much noise coming from neighbouring rooms.
