    "Adequate" (108072769)

bathroom was clean external window shutters - good idea

The room smelled very very badly of cigarette smoke. Inadequate ventilation in the bathroom and bedroom. Shoe shine cloth in bathroom was used and dirty.

"About what we expected for the money, but had to drive some distance to find somewhere to eat as the utensils, floor and seating in the restaurant were quite dirty and we left without eating there. Breakfast was provided, but we chose to pay elsewhere. Would stay again if I needed a cheap stop over while traveling but wouldn't recommend it for a long stay." (97542497)

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Close to major roadways - good for getting on the road again, bad for noise.

Hotel was clean, restaurant was filthy. Difficult to find as hotel was behind several industrial buildings. Access to rooms difficult for family member with recent back surgery.

"I knew what I was getting when I booked and the hotel is OK for a short stay. All the hotels in Cardiff should be ashamed of themselves for hiking the prices so much." (97439245)

Location was good for getting in to the city. We had trouble finding accomadation on the required date so were happy to find something.

£75 per night was a rip-off its almost double the normal rate and no breakfast unless you pay an extra £7 each. Bar closing at 23:00, I didn't want to stay up all night drinking but a night-cap when we got back after the speedway at 23:30 would have been nice.

"It was comfortable enough but I wouldn't choose to stay there again." (97425473)

The accomodation was clean and the food was of a good standard. The staff were polite

A bit surprised to find the hotel in the middle of an industrial estate which woudn't have been my first choice. Our room had been given to a person of a similar name to mine which wasn't a problem as we just their room but when we recived the invoice it had the wrong persons details on ie name and address which meant she had obviously got my details so security wasn't paramount. The food was nice but a little overpriced we felt. The whole stay was a little bit basic and overpriced.

    "see above" (97001970)

Room reasonably clean. Hot water available

Staff unpleasant and in one case very rude. Facilities extremely basic. No reception - check in at bar. Had to provide a Credit Card authorisation for £100 more than agreed room rate for the weekend. Breakfast had to be pre-booked the evening before. Hotel further from city centre than advertised. Exterior looked like a pre-fab building, interior cheap and tacky. Not a good value for money hotel. I have stayed in many budget hotels - Travelodge etc. but never one so poor in every way as this. Very very disappointed and spoiled what should have been a nice weekend for my wife and myself.

Friendly staff - breakfast was good- bathroom was clean & allways had hot water Coffee was the best I has tasted {not at home }We had the option of a smoking room

Quite a way out of the centre and because our conert finished after the last bus,we had to pay £20 to get back to hotel - a good point would be for the hotel to have their own shuttle service-

"Good, clean, comfortable rooms and a very fair price. Breakfast was good too. Would stay again." (97889465)

Room was clean and in good order, and a fair size for the price.

Hotel is situated quite close to the M4, and traffic noise during the day was significant. However at night, as long as the internal "hall" door and window were shut, this was not a problem.

"OK for a one night stay." (97611881)

Easy to find. Very clean and reasonably priced. Plenty of hot water, good towels and the shower worked well. Comfortable beds.Dinner in the restaurant was good.

Very small room and very little space for clothes. Whole place was just a bit too shabby.Practise your hill starts before you go, the car park is a challenge.Breakfast was not brilliant, too much had been prepared well in advance.

It was close to cardiff. There is a pub up the road which serves good quality food.

There was no electrical sockets in the room meaning i could not charge my lap top or phone. The food was poor and not value for money.

Nice to have our own front door as we had our dog with us, and a good area for her to stretch her legs.

Smelt of cat! and my husband is allergic.

"It would have been good to know about room service and also restrictions on access to Sky TV. However, the room was clean, the shower was good and the staff were welcoming." (97025412)

It was basic but clean and staff were very helpful and friendly.

The fact that Reception closed at 11 pm. It meant that there was no access yo Sky TV at this time so we missed the Mayweather/Hatton boxing match which my partner was really looking forward to watching. Also, the heating was switched off centrally and so it was cold for a while.

Convenient and reasonable quality for the price. The breakfast is good and the evening meals are of a good standard

Rooms a bit basic and in need of modernising. Rooms facing the motorway are noisy

"Very pleasant and comfortable. We would like to stay again, this time bringing our grandson with us. The price (which was good) was certainly something that we took into consideration, when booking. We would have liked a complimentary map of the area as we had never visited Cardif before." (97726710)

It was warm and comfortable and ideal for dog lovers such as ourselves who were able to take our 2 dogs with us, for no extra charge. There was a large grassy area where we could excercise our dogs. It was very nice to just have to walk out of our room to the restaurant rather than having to drive anywhere.

The chalet/rooms looked a little 'shabby' certainly from the outside. The radio channel didn't work on the t.v. The bath/shower was very high to get into.

My daughter and I did sleep well as we were tired after a very long journey, but because of the noise problem I would ask not to be in this kind of room again. Overall good budget hotel accommodation and I would consider using this hotel again for an overnight stay." (97358850)
