"This hotel was simple, and the room was quite small. However, it was clean and comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the surrounding area at Ealing Broadway is a lovely neighbourhood and easily accessible from the tube, the city, and the airport" (97337884)

While simple, the hotel offered all necessary and expected amenities, staff were friendly, helpful, and effecient, and the room was comfortable.

    The breakfast was good.

The room was not very clean, the liter bin in the room was not emptied, the bed sheets had marks on them. The shower leeked when it was turned off and the room was very dusty even in the wardrobe. You also had to wait for the one person serving breakfast to serve and cook another persons before asking what I wanted.

(97784368)

nice quiet hotel, good parking facilities, easy access to shops and tube stations, agreable and helpful staff

Friendly, helpful employees, close to things, We were able to extend our stay

Probably not a good place for older people because of stairs to upstairs rooms.

  • 8/10 Shelagh (Mature couple)

from Newcastle upon tyne , United Kingdom;GB on  June 14, 2007

It was a 'tradional' local building with 'normal' rooms - not a 'standard' hotel with 'standard international' rooms. The garden was appreciated. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the neighbourhood was appealing. It was convenient for the Underground.

Neighbouring guests were very noisy opening and closing doors, and didn't have much regard for others late at night.

"The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the motorways and the tube is only a short walk away. The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean even though soom areas are in need of decoration. My room was a small single but was comfortable and I have stayed previously which is its own recommendation." (99588521)

    Good efficent service

"Would have preferred first floor but understand the single rooms are more likely to be up top. Even if I had known, it would not have disuaded me from choosing Grange Lodge." (99433761)

The reason for choosing Grange Lodge is that it is outside the London C charge, has room for parking and I find smaller hotels are cosier and offer a more personal service

Bathroom in room 12 a bit small but adequate. Nothing to dislike really except the curtains were coming off the hooks.

The breakfast was pre prepared except for the eggs.

  • 9/10 Peter (Family with older children)

from Truro , GB on  May 16, 2007

"For value for money you would find this hotel very hard to beat. It's not the luxury end of the market, but it is clean, the staff are very friendly, and it is handily placed near the centre of Ealing for buses and tube. We went as a family of 4 for events at Wembley, and it is easy to get to the stadium by No 83 bus. We wanted to stay again in about 5 weeks time, but not surprisingly it was fully booked. Hopefully we'll get a cancellation nearer the time. Highly recommended." (99636433)

Handy for public transport; flexibility of the staff; excellent value for money; nice breakfast.
