    PLeased overall with the room.

The shower screen could have been longer, lots of water spilled out on to the floor

  • 9/10 Julie ann ( Group of work colleagues)

from Dumfries , GB  on  May 29, 2008

"Apart from the above problem we were completely satisfied with our stay as we have been on previous breaks." (97273965)

Staff were very helpful at both bar and restaurant where we ate on 2 nights. Food was excellent.

Our first room was on the 1st floor and we reported that the toilet was not flushing properly. As there was no maintenance staff on duty they moved us to a room on the 3rd floor and it had exactly the same problem. There seemed no point in moving room again. The hotel obviously has a problem with water pressure and I would assume you are already aware of this problem.

from Kings langley , GB  on  February 20, 2008

"+ Excellent large comfortable rooms. Good value for money. - When booking I asked for a quiet room. Although I arrived early, the one I got was immediately above the main entrance where smokers congregared until 4.00am. I asked for a room change straight away but was told this wasn't possible. Felt that the manager couldn't be bothered." (97205317)

Lovely refurbished new rooms - spotlessly clean and very comfortable

Not having much sleep. Excessive noise.

"We chose the hotel specifically because it had parking for cars. I don't think mention was made of how far the hotel was from the central shopping and tourist areas. In our case, we enjoyed the walking aspect of our stay." (99107538)

We drove our car up to Scotland and were able to park it without any bother - the hotel gave us the opportunity then to sight-see Glasgow on foot. We found the hotel easily from the motorway with their directions. Our room was very comfortably furnished.

It would have been good to have a bar area in the hotel, not just the public reception area to sit and have drinks in the evening.

Asked for double but got 2 single beds (presume because I was a solo traveller they thought this was OK, but I prefer a double bed) I've stayed there twice and both times had to que to check in and out. But staff were friendly if a little overstretched. Overall nice hotel for the price. Would stay again." (99536441)

"This hotel offers a very good, value-for-money alternative to higher-priced but less caring hotels in the very centre of the city. Lots of parking space available, very easy to find off the motorway, and complimentary Wi-Fi access make it really suitable for business travellers. Also, as it's close to the shopping districts/restaurant, it's a good shopping base for weekend breaks/holidays." (99042594)

    Easy-to-find. Clean. Well-run. Efficient staff.

    Nothing.

The cleanliness of the room was first class, as was the whole hotel.

"I've stayed here before and I'll stay here again. It's a great location if you have business in South Glasgow and for the city centre, simply walk over Albert Bridge and up the A8 a bit and you're in Merchant City. I was annoyed that I had booked a non-smoking room and been given a smoker, but the problem was quickly seen to by the efficient, friendly receptionist." (3305470779)

Handy S Glasgow location, access to city centre, good parking, nice rooms, cleanliness

Minor issue with being given a smoking room to start with (quickly rectified)

"I was totally satisfied with every aspect of my stay. I was attending a concert locally and the manager arranged for a minibus to take guests to the concert. This was an added bonus and much appreciated and showed the helpfulness of the manager and staff. Unfortunately, my friend had read a poor review about the breakfasts before our visit which meant we did not use the restaurant on the first day of our stay. However, we did use the restaraunt on the last day of our stay and were really impressed by the breakfast food which meant we were disappointed we'd listened to the review my friend had read beforehand. The food was delicious and plentiful, I would strongly recommend it." (2951096)

The accommodation was clean, light and fresh.

    I had no dislikes
