"Excellent stay, will definitely consider the same hotel again if budget allows." (99746939)

Everything was smooth, even found one of the free car park spots available! Room service arrived prompt even if we ordered after 10 PM.

"This was a New years eve booking so researched this hotel very well before booking it. As a result all expectations were met and it turned out to be a great contribution to a fantastic 2 day experience in London.." (97284619)

Excellent hotel with easy access for o2 arena.

Hotel bar shut on return from o2 arena on New Years eve and no complimentary nibbles in room!

"The hotel is a little far away from the city therefore taxis must be ordered. My intention always is to stay in the city so I can walk around after a strong day. But the positive side is the vicinity to London City Airport. It is in walking distance of 15 minutes. So far a stay for one night as I had it is fine. Annoying are the doors at every corridor. They are not necessary and they are obstacles when passing them with a luggage in one hand and a brief case in the other hand." (97551240)

The hotel was very clean and not worn out. I refer to the breakfast. I must say it was good from my point of view. I found what I normally eat in the morning. The breakfast room is big and convenient with a look to the water side.

The room was ok and the bathroom larger than in some other hotels. Only negative was that the bed is supported on rollers that means you feel like in a rollercoaster if moving around the room! TV had no German programs not a big problem your programs are also good.

"We booked a suite via the website. When ariving at the hotel we found we were only in a standard room, this was not a great start. the bed was uncomfortable one of the lights didt work properly. for the money i paid i expect better especially in a 4 star hotel. the staff were helpful if a trifle cold and snooty. I will only book by phone after this" (97514812)

    The breakfast was very good

the booking was all wrong the bed was hard as a rock it rolled when you climbed into it one of the lights didnt work

"The hotel is clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant was very poor - according to the waitress there is a new chef - and there was no hot water in the room (shower or sink) on both mornings. The iron/ironing board did not work." (97725052)

    Clean

Our reason for the visit was to see a concert at the O2 Arena, the hotel was perfect for getting to the Arena and afterwards was very easy to get back to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent and catered for every taste." (97347742)

Clean, good views across river, close to DLR and O2, and very quiet - probably the quietest Hotel I've ever stayed in.

  • 3/10 Anonymous ( Solo business traveller)

    on  March 12, 2008

For a Suite, the rooms were very small and not good value for the money. The views from both rooms were whooly compromised by a very ugly concrete wall. Also to be placed opposite the lift doors was not appreciated, particularly as the Hotel let alone the actual floor was that full.

"We booked this for it's location as we visited the O2 and needed a good size room to accomadate a family of 4. I would highly recomend this hotel." (97748709)

We booked a suite and requested a balcony, and got both. Good size room with stunning views over canary wharf. The room was set up to accomodate our 2 children, bed setee made up etc. Found the lounge area very relaxing and breakfast service excellent with a good range.

Restaraunt was busy so a carvery was the only offer, and it wasn't very good and very limited.

"The car park was not free as indicated when we booked. The car park was full and we had to use the pay and display which failed to produce tickets on more than one occasion. Eventually spaces came available in front of the hotel but we received a parking ticket - along with several other guests - as they were designated disabled. there wer many trainee staff in bar and restaurant and many mistakes were made by them - cold coffee, wrong drinks, wrong wine with the evening meal." It was dark when walking to the tube station, Prince Regent, from the hotel and this was a little bit unnerving with a young daughter." (97641516)

The dining room used for breakfast and the breakfast itself was excellent. The staff were good too.

The walk from the DLR station in the dark was a little 'scary' for a group of women plus there were not clear directions

"The only issue, though minor, was that we thought our suite with a double bedroom would include *two* beds. Especially since we had specifically requested two beds. Instead, it was a sitting room, plus one bedroom with one double bed. Therefore, we had them make up the hide-a-bed/couch sleeper in the main room." (97008725)

Location very close (via Tube) to our event at the O2 Arena

Not really a problem, but the area is kind of industrial. However, it is improving quickly and will be popular due to proximity to Expo Center and O2 Arena.

    Good clean room, well appointed.

Staff could have been friendlier. Card machine declined my card, and the next guest, and the next guest and they still persisted in saying we had no money!!!

"Ideal for one or two nights and not somewhere to stay if you're on holiday as the location is in the middle of nowhere, but it was fine for me as I was working at Excel which is right next door. The menu in the restaurant was good, but my choice - the burger - was a horrible, tasteless slab of overcooked meat and very over-priced." (97948215)

Very quiet - the sound-proofing is excellent! The facilities in the suite are excellent too.
