The room was lovely and most staff were friendly.

Was told the room I booked might not be available and seemed a bit annoyed to give it and was told directions to the room which meant going this way then that way, turn back on yourself etc instead of being taken to the room.

Friendly helpful staff. Rooms clean and comfortable, quiet location very convenient for High Street and tube station.Food good.

Would have liked breakfast to have been served a little later as it was an effort to get there on time after two very late nights.

"We had a wonderful stay - came down for my partern to play in a pool tourniment. This meant we were coming in and out at varying hours, but staff were always friendly and intrested in how the tourniment was going. We often had to leave before breakfast so a hospitality tray was sent up to us each morning before we left by one of the staff. We were provided with a clear map and directions to all local amitites when we arrived. What a wonderful place. We hope to return next year for the same tourniment. Thank-you for a fantastic stay." (97776626)

Wonderful hotel, fatastic staff - all very frendily and helpful. Lovely room in quite area, not far from the shops or railway station. Only a short walk from the high street too. Room smelt clean and fresh whenever we entered.

"On arrival I was not listed as a guest. I, like many other guests requested breakfast for 7.00am, and we were told it would be available for this time. It was not available until 7.30am and so many of us had to forego our meal. A cooked breakfast was to have been the mainstay of the day and was included in the price. I was somewhat disappointed by this." (97525324)

For the price everything about the room was as expected

No breakfast at the agreed time

Its locality to the City of London and very good transport links.

Furniture squeezed into room, safe in room was a good idea but not secured to flooring, telephone in room was dirty.

"The location from public transport was good, it was only about 5 minutes walk away and close to a shopping centre. The hotel was located in a quiet street. The welcome was very friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for our hosts. Our room was clean and had all the amenities we needed apart from a hairdryer. However a quick call to reception and a hairdryer was immediately given to us. The room contained a en-suite toilet and shower, a fridge, a fan, a television and tea and coffee making facilities. In the main reception there was a bar and a lounge with a television if you wanted to relax away from your room. Breakfast was included in the price of our stay, however I wasn't up in time to have it myself although I understand from other guests that it was lovely. Overall I have to say that this was excellent value for money and an enjoyable stay thanks to our excellent hosts." (97516026)

Penty of hot water, and decent sized towels.

Both rooms small and shower/bathroom even smaller. Had to move rooms after night 2 given horrendous and continuous noise - compressor. Staff reacted promptly though, and moved my belongings.

"The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was cooked to order and was good, including the coffee. My room was clean and tidy and I had the equipment/resources needed. However, there could be a few 'finishing touches' - for example more toiletries for guests, perhaps more tea and coffee making items." (97001004)

Relatively easy to find and not difficult to park. Staff very friendly and helpful. My room had a small fridge and the bottle of mineral water was appreciated.

Not a dislike but more a suggestion for improvement - provide some toiletries for guests and ensure adequate supply of towels.

very close to harrow-on-the-hill tube station, shoppin centres and supermarket. staff very helpful and welcoming. i was working night shifts during my stay, so they kindly gave me a back room to avoid being disturbed whilst sleeping during the day.

my room was a single ensuite, but the bathroom was quite small and so the shower was too.

Very convenient for Harrow Bus Station. Comfortable bed. Hot breakfast. Allowed to leave bag at hotel after checkout as I ran errands in London.

The room was very dirty and dusty. The toilet and shower were dirty. Toiletries not replenished (perhaps forgot..) Was given only one shower gel when requested in the evening yet I normally shower twice a day.(Well, I suppose you get what you pay for.)

The highlight for me was the breakfast - so good to find an establishment that still does a good old fashioned Full English, superb! Only slightly negative point for me was no hairdryer in the room, but I lived with that!" (99729074)

Situated within easy access to public transport, so very easy to find even though I was totally unfamiliar with the location.

the staff were very freindly, and room was very clean, with a fridge, tea and coffee facilities etc

no frount door key, parking at the hotel was very restricted, the room was very noisy due to a saniflow toilet macerator on the second floor, that sounded like a motor boat being used at around 6am and 12midnight.

We had a large room with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities and this was more than adequately replenished every day. There were pleasant gardens to sit in if required and the owners were most pleasant and attentive." (99015148)

"the hotel contacted us prior to our visit to ask what type of sleeping arrangements we would like as we had booked a family room for three adults. We asked them about leaving the car parked up after check out time on day of departure, so this was not a problem. Just after we had arrived and checked into the room the staff rang the room to ensure everthing was in order, So overall we felt all aspects of our stay had been addressed prior to our arrival and were pleased with the hotels standard." (99713193)

The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, gave good information about local amenities, and directions to a business venue in the area that we needed to attend. We were asked what time we would like breakfast and this was cooked fresh to order every morning. As we had most of the check out day to spend in the area they were kind enough to let us leave our car parked up at the hotel several hours after the check out time. We really enjoyed our stay and would book into the hotel again should we be coming to the area and would reccommend it to friends.

    Nothing

    from Ossett , United Kingdom;GB  on  August 30, 2006

"The hotel was situated in a quiet area of Harrow yet close enough to walk to the town centre. Whilst called a hotel it was more like a well equipped guest house. We were left to find our own room and to carry our own luggage. Not a big problem but an offer of help would have been appreciated. We would stay here again" (3304299640)

The hotel was conveniently situated a short walk away from the town precinct and the subway. The large room looked like it had recently been refurbished. It was very comfortable and well eqipped with a view of well kept gardens. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Parking was limited as the hotel is situated in a residential area where permits were required.

"The hotel suited our needs totally on this occasion but if I were going on a romantic weekend break with my husband I would pick a more luxurious hotel. Hotel within easy access of Heathrow Airport and Central London. Website gave good information prior to booking." (2998498)

Hotel had a warm, friendly atmosphere. Staff could not have been more helpful. Any request made was carried out in a helpful, pleasant way. They were anxious to please and to make sure that our stay was a pleasant experience. Would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to family and friends.

The Accomodation was lovely and the room was clean which is what you need.

The breakfast was ok but could have been better, it seemed rushed even though there was on 3 in the restaurant.

  • 5/10 Anonymous ( Solo business traveller)

"I found this hotel adequate for my needs. It was easy to book online and arrive late. The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was large with all the normal facilities. However, I think the hotel needs some modernisation and a little bit more organisation to enable the stay to run more smoothly, such as making sure the room key works and the check out is done properly. I think it was good value for London though." (2652981)

    Clean, location, friendly helpful staff

Old fashioned decor, key did not work in door, was called back from my car after asking someone if I needed to check out and being told I didn't, difficulty in making an outside call from hotel room (I don't understand what is meant by having to clear a line for me)

  • 4/10 Aileen ( Solo business traveller)

    from Beith , United Kingdom;GB  on  May 20, 2005

"I slept very badly because I could not lock my room door properly: I suppose I did well to sleep at all in these circumstances. I was called 10 minutes after the time I had given for breakfast to ask if I was coming for breakfast: it felt like I was being given a row. I was also asked to pay on arrival before seeing my room: although I waited until I had checked the room before I paid, it did not occur to me to check that the door could be secured. At £55 per night this hotel is at least £10 per night more expensive than better establishments within easy walking distance. I would not go back." (2058477)

    Convenient location.

Impossible to lock room door securely: door sprang open as I was falling asleep.

  • 10/10 Karin ( Mature couple)

"The room was clean and spacious enough. The hotel is also close to bus stops and the underground station as well as shops and a shopping centre. Everything else I would like to know was mentioned on the Internet." (1575361)

The extra-ordinary assistance from the manager - phoned us even in South Africa to assist with our arrival. We asked him during our stay also for assistance and he helped where-ever possible.

On the internet advert it indicated mineral water is inlcuded and the expectation was that will be provided everyday. It was only provided the first day. Maybe the advert must then be just more clear.
