    bed was enormously comfortable, great steak in your grill restaurant

    service was a bit slow in the restaurant, not enough staff, 2 people for a whole restaurant. Check out was slow, there was a queue but we were made aware by the concierge that there is an express check out.

    "Brilliant for a transit stay. Had a 7am flight out of Stansted airport one morning and arrived in at 11.30pm another night and found the location to be brilliant. So easy to walk to the airport - 2 mins. Will definitly stay again." (107267780)

    We requested a late checkout and got it. The pool area was great, sauna and steamroom were good to relax in. The baggage leaving service was greatly appreciated. Express checkout option was very helpful for us. Bar was good for relaxing in after flying in one night.

    The bed was great as was the room in general.

    Lousy service at the Winetower. Waited at night for someone to take my order after I sat down for quite some time. Had to go to the bar to get them to recognize I was there. The same occurred at lunch time the next day after we asked for more time to order from the menu nobody came back. My customer was not impressed. The hotel room needs a window - no fresh air! That was the only downside to the room. I waited a little bit for someone to check me in. It seemed like there was enough people but only one person was dealing with the check in at that time.

    Check in was slow.

    Service slow in restaurant - depite ordering drinks straight away these took a long time to be delivered to the table.

    this hotel provided excellent facilities for a night's stay, easy access to the airport very early in the morning and 15 nights car parking facilities. We were able to start our holiday rested and refreshed and our car was easily available on our return.

    THE ROOMS ARE A NICE SIZE AND FURNITURE ETC. IS OF GOOD QUALITY.THE BED IS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE, NO BAD BACK IN THE MORNING, WE LIKE THE 'LITTLE EXTRAS' PROVIDED.E.G. TOILETRIES ROBES SLIPPERS ESPRESSO MACHINE (OURS WASN'T WORKING THOUGH!)WHAT WE ALSO LIKE ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS IT'S PROXIMITY TO THE AIRPORT. IT IS ACTUALLY 2 MINUTES AWAY AND FOR LAST MINUTE SHOPPING YOU CAN POP TO THE TERMINAL FOR EVERYTHING YOU NEED. WE LOVE THE ICE MACHINES BEING AVAILABLE ESPECIALLY WHEN THE WEATHER IS HOT AND THE STAFF ARE VERY GOOD. WE HAVE TO SAY THAT THE CHOICE OF FOOD AT BREAKFAST TIME IS OUTSTANDING. IT IS WORTH STAYING AT THIS HOTEL FOR THE BREAKFAST ALONE. I AM COELIAC AND THERE WAS PLENTY FOR ME TO HAVE. ONE LITTLE POINT AND IT'S ONLY MINOR....WHEAT FREE BREAD FOR TOAST WOULD BE NICE?

    THERE IS ONLY ONE THING WE 'DISLIKED' ABOUT THIS HOTEL AND THAT IS THE FACT THAT THE FOOD IN THE GRILL BAR IS QUITE PRICEY? I THINK IF THEY WERE TO REDUCE THE PRICES THEN MAYBE IT WOULD BE BUSIER? WHEN WE HAVE EATEN THERE IT IS NEVER FULL. JUST A SUGGESTION.

    Overall appearance of the hotel and facilities. Parking option as part of the booking for our honeymoon was the deal clincher!

    Returning from our holiday to find our car light had been left on! Draining the battery! The hotel staff tried to help but the delay was an unacceptable and unnecessarily bad end to our honeymoon!

    "We live within 20 minutes of Stanstead and, as we had an early flight, decided to stay overnight rather than risk a taxi. Online booking was easy and the overall stay a pleasent experience. However, the cost might make us try alternatives next time." (97802460)

    Clean and functional rooms that were very quiet despite the location of hotel, adjacent to airport, and numbers of guests.

    "I was extremely satisfied with my accommodation, service, etc. I'm not sure if there is an inexpensive coffee shop in the hotel. I would appreciate access to that sort of eating establishment, given that going out is not really easy at this location. My stay was very short, I was very tired from travelling a such a long way and I wasn't interested in a big meal." (97529952)

    Hotel laid out well, staff friendly and helpful. Room sufficiant for my stay and the bed was comfy

    Could not find a timer on the tv for switch off, so ended up falling asleep with the tv on. A timer would surely cut down on electricity used? Think quality of shampoo and conditioner could be improved could not work out for the life of me how to use the coffee machine in the room, gave up in the end

    Cionsidering the airport location the hotel was peaceful and quiet.

    Room service only available for food. All restaurants and bars closed to public too early given the 24 hour arrival pattern.

    "I always try to stay at this Hotel. It has a very comfortable feel for a 'mature' female travelling by one's self. The convenience of the train service into London and the various facilities available at the airport (some 24 hrs service) makes it an excellent stop-over location." (97122963)

    Comfort,friendliness,cleanliness,could not hear other guests coming in to their rooms (door banging). No noise in respect to other guests talking in corridor or rooms.

    A tad hot (temperature wise). Food was over expensive but good quality.

    "I would have booked at the New York Grill for dinner, if I'd realised it was necessary, as we were turned away in quite an unfriendly fashion. The upside was that the Italian restaurant welcomed us with open arms and the meal was truly excellent, as was the service." (97689765)

    Very comfortable room.

    The fridge had a half opened bottle of cola and 2 tins of beer within. No water until room service quickly brought some without charge. He handled this glitch very well.

    Attractive and comfortable room, very comfortable beds, helpful and friendly staff, extremely convenient location, with remarkably little aircraft noise. The Wine Tower was amazingly wacky!

    Nothing - except that we couldn't work out how to turn off the rather noisy air conditioning.

    Room was clean and adequate for purpose. Facilities at the hotel were very good and close proximity to main terminal a real bonus. Great value for money given the greatly overpriced rates of London hotels.

    Although we had requested a double room there was a further single bed which made the room feel somewhat cramped.

    Well presented.

    The Italian restaurant. The food wasn't very fresh.It was not the standard of the rest of the hotel. For poor quality food it was far too expensive. We did point out to the staff that the tomatoes were fermenting and the dish was replaced.

    *clean refreshing stop over *early morning walk (0500hrs)to airport provided delightful scene of resident rabbits grazing next to walkway,my daughter was thrilled to see them up so close

    *waited 1/2 hour in the bar for an order of bar food . only recieved same when we made enquiries to where the food was and then it was unsatisfactory to eat. (Nachos-melted cheese had hardened so that you could have used it for a frisbie .)We did not eat this food. * poor childrens menu choice from all restaraunts.

    excellent location if travelling from the airport

    Hotel had no stairs only lifts. Stairs were available but had to accessed with the manager in attendence. My wife cannot use lifts.This would not stop us using the hotel again though

    "We had a good overnight experience at the Radisson, but thought that it was a bit pricey overall. A good comparison is with our stay recently in a Premier Inn in Dover, which offered accommodation of a similar standard, without the fitness centre admittedly, and was better value at £60."     Pool and fitness centre facilities and being within walking distance of the airport.

    Price of food in the restaurants and in room service. We have stayed on other occasions in hotels of a similar standard, like the Marriott and Renaissance, where food has been a much more competetive price. Thus we opted to eat in the airport in the evening.

    Hotel appeared to be very new in all aspects. Public spaces were very airy giving hotel good feel. Restaurants were nice and welcoming for airport hotel.

    Walking distance to the airport and care hire.

    Chaos both in the bar area (early in the evening) and later in the Italian Restaurant. This is not good enough and when you have to pay a relatively high price for the food, you expect to, first get what you have ordered, and second, the starter should be served before the main course. This is not good when you have brought 5 customers to dinner for a good time!!! Late in the evening there was a lot of food smelling in my room. Coming from the ventilation.

    "We only stayed for one night prior to flying to Tromso in Norway. We were both very impressed by the design of the foyer of the hotel - windows on the interior of the building - thereby avoiding aircraft noise - and were particularly pleased by our room which was spotlessly clean and well designed. My only criticism is the perennial one; hotel rooms are much too warm for comfortable sleeping. The ability to effectively adjust the heating would be a signifcant bonus. We had an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant during the course of which the service was impeccable." (97059932)
