"we booked this weekend for a family member who was celabrating her birthday, with family and friends eleven in all,and we dined at the restaurant, they looked after us great and facilitated us at short notice for special meals, would recommend the early bird menu great choice and value for money, and made a fuss of the person who celebrated her birthday, she could not get over the staff how well we where treated, only sorry we could not stay longer, maybe next time, the hotel has a lovely view ,a pity it was on such a steep hill,as some of our party where elderly, but we managed ." very clean, and rooms were very comfortable.

"The room was small but very clean, staff were extremely nice, friendly and helpful, especially two barmen working on Friday nite, even the bouncers outside! Very convenient to bars and cafe across the road, and a great bar called Victoria down the road. It was a lovely place to stay for a romantic quite weekend away. Great ballad session on Friday and Elvis on Saturday, would accommodate everyone." (99006395)

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar was excellent fun

Food wasn't the best (dinner in bar), apart from that it was a great hotel.

"the hotel is very old and in need of serious modernisation. The exterior of the hotel nearly stopped me from entering altogether. The receptionist was very friendly but other staff not overly so. The room was adequate and clean. However it could do with a face lift. I did get the room on a bed & breakfast basis for 2 people for €78 so I guess it was good value for money." (3305016441)

very central and easy to find.

very old, exterior of building off putting.

"It is a nice hotel, with old dated windows,Girl in bar dosen't smile.a typical seaside hotel,no internet,ok for a stag weekend or stay with girlfriend." (3304850293)

After we changed room to a room with a normal height ceiling it was more homely.

one sheet on the bed and uncomfortable old blankets but clean.

"The town itself, Tramore, is like the Blackpool of Ireland. It is a very noisy, bright town, which might be ok for some people, but we were hoping for something a little less chav-tastic!" (3304743723)

Good location, not in the centre of town, but slightly above it, meaning that you do get some sleep!

The walls are paper thin, so you can hear everything in the neighbouring rooms. There is also a late night disco under the hotel which is very noisy. The curtains are very thin so all the lights are visible thru them.

"Overall good value for money. Hotel could do with a facelift but in a quaint way the sense of oldfashioned comfort was reassuring. Excellent value in restaurant. Staff were wonderful." (3304682415)

The food was excellent and really good value for money.

The bedroom and bathroom were rather outdated and shabby but clean.

Very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff.

Decoration maybe a little dated in places but not offensive.

"Nice traditional seaside hotel. Our room had a good view of the bay. Rooms over the restaurant were quiet despite a wedding in the hotel that night." (3304261345)

Clean & tidy & good value

Scrambled egg! To be avoided at all costs, stick with the traditional Irish breakfast perhaps.
