"A well run hotel, clean, and helpful staff. The only problem was that there was no sign outside to indicate that it was our hotel! So we stood outside 15 minutes pondering! Until we plucked the courage to go up the stairs, walk through a door (still no signs!) Then ask the receptionist. He pointed out that they will get around to putting a sign up soon. We would definately go back there again though." (1910333)
Clean and imaculate. It had been recently re decorated.
The TV, could of been better, the aerial was poor, which gave it a fizzy screen. There were over 30 channels, but none in any other language than Italian. Would of been nice to see at least CNN, BBC or Eurosport. As we are not nightclub people, we chose to relax at the hotel from 11pm til 02am but were frustrated with the tv 3 times in a row!

"i thought the roomm was lovely! very modern and clean. couldnt complain about anything except for the breakfast!" (3304673820)
was very central, near to the metro and the vgatican city.
i thought the breakfast was inadequate! had to have cornflakes out of a cup because they had no bowls which i thought was bad for a 3 star hotel!

"The location is good for the Vatican but you need to travel to all the other major sites. It is close to a Metro station and many local bus routes both of which are reliable and cheap. We did not find a good restaurant close by. It is not a cheap city so expect to pay London prices for everything. We found the local people to be unfriendly and not big fans of smiling." (97452219)
The room was clean and tidy although the carpet had a strong musty smell that hit us when we opened the door. The beds were comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The air-con/heater was efficient. A good place to stay if you are on a tight-ish budget and you would be happy with basic amenities.
The room was very small and not a place we wanted to spend a huge amount of time in. It did not have a safe but did have a mini bar - a safe would have been far more useful. The water was always lukewarm in the evening. The television had no English-speaking channels. Breakfast is very basic.

"Wir möchten wieder in diesem Hotel wohnen." (97628014)

"The hotel is situated in a quiet area, with easy transportation (Metro) to Termini. Many sights and restaurants are within walking distance, such as the Vatican and Castel St.Angelo. It is a nice evening stroll to Piazza Navona or Piazza del Popolo. If we ever return to Rome, we will probably choose to stay in the same area, and Hotel Giugioli is a very good option. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were aware that the rooms were a little bit small from the booking information, so that did not bother us. Breakfast was good as long as you know what to expect in Italy (croissants and jam, lots of sugar)." (3305481079)
