"Hotel was obviously in the process of a minor refurbishment but this left a number of issues e.g. windows that would not close properly resulting in not being able to secure the room as one would wish which was unfortunate as the rest of the stay was pleasant with the staff endevouring to make you feel at home." (99613853)
The staff and the view at breakfast.
Creaky floorboards and small items of maintainance required.

"Very nice hotel well situated for Glasgow, But out of the hussle of town. Next visit will book a room at rear, away from busy main road. I am sure if I asked they would have moved me but for such a short stay I did not see a problem." (99718872)
Easy to find, Good Parking, Staff very helpful, Easy Access to Public Transport, Food very good
Noise from traffic in front bedrooms

"On the whole a good nights stay. Food was good for the price. The bar and bistro had an upperclass feel. Could do with a few more telly channels though!" (99269658)
Easy to find, clean and comfortable
It was a cold evening and the heater had not been turned on. Took a couple of hours for the room to heat up.

"It would have been useful to have the following information available at the time of booking: 1, Proximity to main road - and choice of rooms to avoid noise. 2, Notification that the family room was a double bed and sofa bed that converted into two singles." (3305205395)
A good clean hotel with helpful and efficient staff and restaurant that catered for both adults and children.
The biggest dislike was that our room (No. 21) faced the main road and was particularly noisy. The children hardly slept. A much more minor irritation was that the children's beds were not made upon arrival - although this was quickly solved with one call to reception.

Clean comfortable rooms ( I booked 3 ) friendly helpful staff. Nice cooked breakfast.
Leaking water from bathroom ( we were offered an alternative room though ) Noise from other guests in the early hours of the morning. Continetal breakfast could have had more choice.

clean and comfortable with everything you need for an overnight stay
shower was powerful and leaked onto the floor which made the bathroom smell a little.

"Some of the rooms a rather close to the funcion suite. I would say not that suitable for young families. Given the cost of the room it was value for money. I would return to the hotel, but would be sure to ask further from the function suite." (3304957604)
Clean, value for Money.
Rooms abit too close to the function suite.

"I would not stay there again. As we checked in very late, around 11:00pm, we stayed. If we had checked in earlier in the day I would have looked for another hotel." (97832730)
It was very run down and tatty. We were of the impression it was reburbished.

"The food was a rip off.I ordered lamb shank on mashed potato and roasted veg followed by fresh fruit plate on the two evenings I stayed. There was no veg the first evening, the following evening after complaining,The dish contained 3PICKLED ONIONS THAT HAD PLACED ON A HOT PLATE.The fresh fruit came out of a tin. The scrambled egg I had for breakfast was so watery I had to pour the excessive liquid into a tea cup,1/4 filling it When working away and going without food all day,its diappointing to face this." (3304911091)
The room was large enough, clean, and had all the extras.
The window was rotten and faced a brick wall, its catch was hanging off,as was the room door lock catch. One push could have opened the door.

the bar area was great
there was a stange noise in room 2 our room which cause me and my pregnant wife to not have a nights rest over the 2 nights in the hotel. When i complained to the hotel staff on 3 occasions nothing happened.

"A decent Hotel, on a busy main road - good double glazing means the noise was shut out effectively. As above, we visited at a time of major alterations so didn't see the Hotel at it's best, but nonetheless a pleasant stay. If you have a choice, try to get a room at the back, overlooking the golf course, rather than at the front, on the main road." (3304474687)
Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, decent menu.
Unfortunately our stay concided with some major work being done at the Hotel which meant parts were closed off, and we didn't really see the Hotel at it's best.

Some areas of building required a little attention. Restuarant area not fully seperate from main bar. Large screen TV. Not that I wanted a romantic meal for one. Food simple but well cooked and presented. Staff friendly and efficient.

Good value for money and handy location for Glasgow and its surroundings (if you have a car). Comfy beds and if prefer a quieter room, then ask for one to the rear of the hotel.
Hotel smelt rather damp and musty and could be cleaner - needed a good facelift. In our rooms we were only given 1 bath and 1 hand towel between 2 and no toilet roll. Staff on reception were not particularly friendly or chatty - eg. on arrival we were not asked if we'd had a good journey and on leaving no-one asked us if we had had a nice stay etc. Our evening meal in the hotel was satisfactory, but the portions could have been larger.

Wider choice of menu and info in the room re braekfast and evening meals.

"The room reflected the price. The hotel was hard to access from the north due to the closure of the carriageway. The staff made no effort to communicate with us, only the night porter made any conversation." (2332831)
It was within easy reach for travelling north.
Staff not very helpful. Didn't have breakfast because I was not told on arrival the layout of the hotel.

"It was not too bad an experience. But, for people travelling with families, there is reason for concern about the pub which is within the same premise. In fact, the reception was barely visible and the front-door was not easy to find in the first place. Security-wise I should rate this a bit low." (2280686)
The location was good close to motorways
management of affairs. The restaurant staff was not aware that breakfast was included in the rent. This caused confusion.
