"Modern and clean with good sports facilities and friendly staff ( though long waits at check in desk) but our room was overlooked by office next door which may be unavoidable given location but not ideal for a leasiure break. Other concern was noise level as mentioned above. Overall fair if you are using it as a base but would not recommend as a destination itself for lounging about at the hotel." (99059427)
Good size & clean. Central location.
Poor sound proofing...could hear piano, cleaning staff and baby next door ( not necessarily just when crying!)

Extremely comfortable, helpful staff.
Cooked breakfast items a bit poor quality. (e.g. sausuages) could do better for the price!

Good room size. Excellent polite staff. Cleanliness. good facilities.
TV too small. Food pricey considering what was delivered to table.

"I have previously for business stayed at Jury something Hotel, now being rebuilt, and at Hayfield Manor - both close to UCC. Nor I wanted to take my wife to Hayfield Manor but it was just too expensive - hence we picked Clarion." (3305098062)
Very nice overall colour-design, matching in room, bar, coffee lounge and restaurant.
Staff were excellent but sometimes you do not just like the American way of asking if everything is OK...every second minute! TOO MUCH!

"A good hotel but would of liked to been offered a choice of view when booking, as brochure and internet picture give us a view we expected overlooking the river at the front of hotel. good selection of beers and soft drinks but could of been better served colder. Food at the Kudos was excellent, slightly expensive but worth it." (3304489710)
The hotel was new and very clean with good staff
The view at the rear of hotel

"We stayed at the hotel as part of our honeymoon and the staff went out of the way to make our stay special. Even though it was only for the one night they helped to make it a memorable stay and we would stay at their hotels again as a result." (3304214880)

"The hotel is near to the City Centre and a few metres away from the bus station (regular link to the airport). The hotel is only 12 months old. Our room was very spacious and had good furnishings. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful." (3304094683)
The well appointed room itself including a well designed bathroom.

"This is a very modern, clean, spacious hotel in the city centre. Although we arrived during the middle of a very busy day, we were booked in in minutes. The room was great, spacious, large bed and a warm feel, even the corridors feel as though you are in an apartment block rather than a hotel. Hotel and Leisure centre staff are very friendly and helpful, Highly recommended! By booking online with active hotels we saved €50" (2910511)
The hotel itself is very spacious and beautifully finished, feels more like a new apartment complex.
More directions to the lifts of the hotel in the car park

"This hotel with its clean lines and elegant appearance is well worth a visit. Staff are very pleased to give reccondations for restaurants even thought their Kudos bar and restaurant on site has excellent food. You can sample the food in the resturant even if you don't stay in the hotel. The gym and pool facilities were great enough equiment for all and very clean and tidy." (2660549)
The rooms were very mordern and clean. The gym was great and staff helpful. The extra facities of a good hairdryer and iron was great.

"I really don't think there is anything more I could add that would be of any further benefit. The group of us all thought it was asplendid hotel and the staff were friendly and actually smiled real smiles!!! Well placed for exploring the local area." (2452063)
spacious and well equipped
more tea and coffee in the room, only enough milk for 1 cuppa each. There were 3 of us in 1 room and there weren't enough towels and cups.

"The heating in the hotel generally but most especially in our room was overpowering and excessive. Our room faced onto the atrium with the result that there was no window that we could open and we were open to the public gaze when we switched the lights on. We had to keep the lights on as the room was very dark otherwise. The heating/air conditioning in the room was not effective, the mean temperature seemed to be 22 degrees, and although we ran it all night the temperature never seemed to go down. In addition, the bright white light on the switch did not go out, and was most detrimental to our sleep. We were both awake from about 4 am onwards, which is most unusual, and we felt this was entirely due to the excessive heat, the unhealthy air emanating from the air conditioning system and the noise generated by it. We were never so glad to leave a hotel room, and we stay in at least six different hotels every year. Our second problem regarded the directions to the hotel, which did not appear on the print out of our booking, and which are absolutely crucial in a city such as Cork, where the one way system is being constantly altered. Having found the hotel, we then had to drive over a bridge, along the quay, back over another bridge and then found we could not drive into the street where the car park was, as it was either one way or blocked by skips and road works. Not a good start to our stay." (2146870)
Good bathroom
excessive heating

"A nice new hotel that is currently working though the usual teething problems." (2350345)
New and fresh
Comunication between staff within hotel. Staff training could be better. We had to ask each day for an additional towel and glass for our son who was staying with us, house keeping should have know that three were in the room doe thr week and should have made it acorddingly.

"There was plenty of variety for all at breakfast and the food was delicious in the Kudos bar, although they did have trouble making a descent Irish coffee. The girls at reception were extremly helpful when asked about location and types of local restaurants and, we found it lovely that, after dining out the next day they asked if we enjoyed our meals. They also seemed to remember all the guests and treated them as if they were staying with friends and not like in many hotels were you feel as if averything is to much bother. The rooms were also kept perfect by the cleaning staff. All in all a most enjoyable break." (2156694)
It had a clean open and friendly atmosphere, and the pool looked most inviting.
There was nothing that you could not like about the accomodation.
