"We enjoyed our stay, as soon as we arrived there was a wow factor when we saw the building and setting. We knew before we arrived at the hotel that there wasn't a restaurant but we still feel that the hotel merits one, non the less, the restaurant we ate at was very good. Our room was delightful, with the added bonus of a modern, well functioning shower room. We had to go in search of a cup of tea, so in room facilities would have negated this need. The television was fine for French visitors but satellite would have enabled us to use this facility." (3304442663)
The hotel and grounds were beautiful and the original fixtures and furnishings made the chateau a special place to spend the night. The modern bathrooms were tasteful and finished in keeping with the original building. The staff were helpful - the manager booked a table at a very good restaurant, about 10 minutes drive away - Hostellerie Bois- Guibert.
The fact that there weren't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room, that there weren't any satellite TV channels so that we could catch up with the news and that we had to leave the hotel to have dinner - a restaurant within the hotel would be more convenient and if it was also open to non-residents would provide the hotel with more business - we felt that the lovely building was under utilised.

"An enjoyable stay in a relatively small room with a comfortable bed.Shower room was small, but adequate, with plenty of hot water and a good shower.Continental Breakfast was good.The main problem we encountered was that all the restuarants in the two closest towns, Châteaudun and Bonneval, were closed on a Monday evening. We did not wish to travel further afield and were forced to resort to buying food from a supermarket and having a 'picnic' in our room. Not the gastronomic experience we were hoping for!" "Excellent accommodation in a superb setting. Overnight travellers may find the lack of a restaurant slightly inconvenient. Although local restaurants are available, turning out again after a long drive may not suit everyone." (3304010433)

"If you don't want to stay in Chartres, I'd recommend this hotel. The room we had was not very large, but was comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was modern and well designed. The hotel serves a very generous continetntal breakfast, though the cost was 12 Euros per person. We enjoyed our stay here as a stopover point on our trip from the Loire castles towards Paris. It's location is not all that convenient to use as a central location from which to see the Loire castles though, so I'd recommend using it more as a place to stay outside Chartres." (2667316)
This small chateau is somewhat isolated being in between the Loire castles and Chartres, but it was a delightful overnight since I couldn't find accomodations within Chartres that I liked. The hotel is way off the main road, quietly nestled into fields and farms, more of a manor house. Very friendly staff person was helpful and gracious.

"I have no complaints. The room was tastefully decorated, the bathroom facilities were modern and clean, and the host and hostess were very helpful and congenial. We were looking for a picturesque place near Paris for the end of our trip and it was more than I expected." (2040716)
The chateau was beautiful - attractively decorated and very clean. The grounds were breathtaking. Our hostess was very accomodating and helpful when it came to suggestions for sightseeing and dinner. It was a delightful experience for us as Canadians.
