"We have stayed at hotel before and had really lovely rooms This time we drew the short straw I would definitley ring up and make sure I had better rooms" (107109006)

    excellent location

    Our rooms were very poor

"Overall, very good, but having seen another couple of hotels in the area would stay somewhere different next time." (108046170)

The public rooms of the hotel had good historical decor and the lady who ran the hotel was very kind and helpful.

Not having a proper shower, just a shower attachment with no where to hook it and no screen/curtain. Bit annoying as the rest of our holiday was camping and we were looking forward to a good shower.

    Excellent location

No restaurant Bar and lounge locked up from c 8pm Parking is difficult

    Poor condition of decoration

  • 8/10 Anonymous (Mature couple)

    on  May 9, 2008

"Arrival quite dismal - initial impression disappointing. We would have appreciated information about reception times and booking-in in the evening. Also disappointed to find that the lounge/bar area was only open during the day - would have liked to have been able to use a communial area to sit in the evening. However, soon felt more comfortable and enjoyed our stay here - helped by good weather. Hotel with character - old fashioned French style. On street parking was OK but could be difficult to find convenient space at busy time. We would recommend this hotel but would warn not to be put off by first impression." (97841950)

Rooms very clean and well maintained by chambre-maids. Clean sheets - daily. Central position. Good breakfast.

Hotel reception all closed up when we arrived - difficult to find parking and locate sister hotel to book in. Back street position felt 'seedy', entrance and hall way tatty/tired decoration.

  • 9/10 Martin (Group of adult friends)

from Bourne end , GB on  April 4, 2008

"The hotel is very good value for Le Touquet. It is a 2* French hotel and provides good, comfortable rooms at a fair price. The reception staff were friendly and helped with restaurant bookings in advance of our arrival by email. I would imagine that there may be parking problems in high season but there is plenty of free parking within short walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is next to a school so there is noise from the playground at times during the day as you would expect. Le Touquet is an excellent destination for a short stay, there are good restaurants, shops and the beach to enjoy in the summer." (97740029)

The hotel was very well located, clean and the bedroom was a good size, we had a bath rather than a shower which was good and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was in a quiet area over the weekend.

Minor issues only - limited parking and noise from next door school.

  • 7/10 Angus (Mature couple)

from West auckland , United Kingdom;GB on  June 21, 2007

"Although we enjoyed our break in general, it was inconvenient having to move our car daily for parking! It would have been nice to have relaxed in the bar on an evening with other guests. When the weather is very warm, a shower is much more refreshing than having a bath. We realise that it is not the problem of the hotel when guests are noisy, but a little sound-proofing in the walls would have helped." (99077246)

    convenient for bars and resturants

No shower - the bar was never open - too much noise from other guests - no car parking

"We thought the hotel was good value for money. Not so sure the couple we took thought so. We all thought that the hotel was well positioned" (99829287)

The hotel is very central to the beach, market and town. Also the rooms were clean

The rooms could do with a paint.

  • 7/10 David (Mature couple)

from Woodford green , United Kingdom;GB on  June 8, 2007

"This hotel is clean and comfortable with obliging staff and nice to have a bar as a meeting area. The hotel is next door to a school so it was noisy between 8.30-9am even on a Saturday. That said, it is local to all facilities." (99525543)

It is quite a quirky hotel and clean and comfortable. Local to all facilities

Our bedroom and bathroom needed decorating, although clean. It also lacked a full length mirror.

Close to amenities and great breakfast.

  • 8/10 Anonymous (Family with young children)

    on  April 10, 2007

"This hotel did the job for a potentially difficult group of clients - one adult travelling with three young children. The location is excellent, but I could have done with more detailed directions and a street map for finding it in the first place. The televisions were a disappointment to my children (small screens, one only worked quite erratically), and there was nowhere to plug in a hairdryer in one of the rooms. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful when there was a crisis and we needed to find a doctor quickly. Overall this hotel was a little run-down in decor, but probably what you would expect of a two-star. It was lifted by the helpful and friendly staff, alongside the fact that it is in a great location for shops, the market (thursday and saturday only) and restaurants, as well as being handy for the beach." appeared to be unattended at night

  • 6/10 Sarah (Family with young children)

Bathroom badly designed - bad paintwork all round - although there was a bar, only beer and soft drinks were available - Time to register was rather later at 3pm and the cleaning wasn't finished

  • 9/10 Anne (Group of adult friends)

  • 8/10 Cliff (Mature couple)

    from Rochester , United Kingdom;GB on  February 8, 2007

"For the location of this hotel, just a few minutes walk to the Saturday market, the sea front and from the main leisure areas the hotel is very good value for money. Parking in general throughout Le Touquet is quite difficult and at high season I would imagine this to be a problem. Tha t said, with a bit of ingenuity I would imagine that it can be overcome." (99211436)

Convenient location, friendly staff, clean, very good value for money.

Noise from other guests travelled between the rooms.

  • 7/10 Neil (Group of adult friends)

    from Rugby , United Kingdom;GB on  December 20, 2006

"Generally enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very quiet but still convenient for the town centre. It would have been better if we had been informed that we should collect our keys from a different hotel if arriving after 20:00 as arriving at a dark, apparently empty, hotel does not make a good first impression. The map could probably have been a touch better too and also indicated the one way system." (99082145)

The hotel service was very good and efficient. Nice clean linen and room serviced promptly.

The general decoration was 'tired', could do with a bit of upkeep. The beds could also benefit from renewal.

"The reception area was very easy - straight in front of main door. The stairways were not very well lit and the lights went off rather quickly. Room was clean - bed on small side with something plastic underneath bottom sheet which squeaked. Good bath. The bar was not staffed although receptionist dealt with it, but it had very limited stock - and no wine - which seems extraordinary for France, particularly as there were wine glasses on display. Breakfast was normal self service continental breakfast - absolutely fine. Hotel very reasonable in price and staff were polite. Parking difficult though." (2786793)

Within walking distance of shops and restaurants

The sign of the hotel was not lit up - we could not find it without some of us getting out of the car and searching down side streets. We drove round in circles in the dark which was getting very frustrating. Not helped by the roads being dug up and no signs of hotel.

  • 7/10 John (Group of adult friends)

from Kettering , United Kingdom on  November 11, 2005

"It was a typical French 2 star hotel; I have stayed in a great many over the years. The room was comfortable, the breakfast plentiful and the price not outrageous. it was also within easy walking distance of the Rue St. Jean and the beach. Parking could have been a problem but we were lucky enough to find a space in the street just outside. The hotel advertises reservable private parking but my e-mail requesting this was unanswered and the receptionist did not offer it." (2917063)

A decent-sized, clean room very near the centre of Le Touquet but in a quiet area.

It would have been a very good idea to tell me, before I left to find a restaurant, how to get back into the hotel at 11pm when it was locked up! There is a tele-key but no-one informed me. A few moments of panic ensued.

  • 7/10 Alan (Mature couple)

    from Sheffield , United Kingdom;GB on  November 2, 2005

"Though not a fault of the hotel its parking facilities are very poor. On street parking is available at the ongoing price but the area is so busy that to get a slot close by the entrance is rare and almost impossible. A reserved area outside the front door will prevent customers carrying luggage possibly long distances. Otherwise the hotel is value for money." (2695063)

Convenient to local ammenties , clean and tidy accomodation

facilities for hot drinks available in room.
