"A reasonably priced placed to stay before a departure at Shannon. Room is entirely adequate, if showing a bit of wear and I suppose the same might be said of staff too." (97166398)
proximity to Shannon airport
a bit worn and staff a bit matter of fact

"I dont have and over all review as my stay was only for 2 days but if it was for a longer visit I would have liked to know what activities and entertainment the hotel has to offer also what places of interest in the area that would be nice to visit if without a car what transport there is available to and from the hotel ie buses trains etc." (99622273)
The hotel is in a good location with easy reach too other locations The staff were very friendly and welcoming and keen to make ones stay as comfortable as possible.
The room we stayed in was very cold and there werent enough electrical sockets for use the one spare socket that was there was not working so we had too use an extention socket which the hotel provided the bathroom could do with a make over but other than that the stay was pleasant

Clean, friendly staff, good price
Make sure you make reservations for dinner. There were not many options near the hotel. We went to 4 restuarants before someone would take us at 9:30 at night. The hotel staff did not let us know this.

"that there was a 5 euro charge for room service. It meant a sandwich that I ordered had an extra 5 euro added to it. Card for door took ages to click green......another guest had the same problem. Plugs and sockets not easy to locate. Had to plug out light/TV to plug in phone charger. Not an easy room to write up reports etc. However, the friendliness of the staff was superb." (3304791875)
staff very friendly and obliging. Bed very good. Felt noise could be a problem if the next bedroom had TV up loud
room needs to be refurbished, especially bathroom. could not convert shower taps to bath. Architrave around door in bathroom needs repainting. trouser/skirt press not working. no biscuits with compilmentary coffee/tea.

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very convienient to the castle,Dirty Nellys, the Creamery Bar and the shopping areas. We attended the banquet in the castle which came highly recommended by the hotel check-in staff who who booked for us and would recommend this as a good night and good value for money." (3304584066)
It was very convienient, with pleasant and friendly staff.
We requested a non-smoking room but found a distinct smell of stale smoke coming from the curtains and bedding.

"A good place for a weekend break. Bunratty has 3 pubs, 2 hotel bars and a really good fish restaurant called Gallahers. The hotel is good value for money and the staff very friendly and accomodating." (2565226)
Rooms were of a decent size and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The gym is very well equiped. The buffet breakfast is great especially after a night at Durty Nellies Pub, just down the road
Sound proofing to the corridor and different bedroom door shutting mechanism so that they don't slam

"Apart from the sleepless nights due to noise in the hotel (which I appreciate the hotel cannot really control) I was pleased with the standard of the hotel and would be happy to stay there again if I ever visit the area in the future. The staff were helpful and the rooms were bright and nicely decorated, if not slightly too cold at night." (2644209)
Nice facilities, close to attractions and near airport.
As there were some Christmas work parties happening in the hotel it was very noisey at night - going on until 5/6am, which disturbed my sleep - and therefore my stay, on both nights.

"Be warned it is very touristy around Bunratty and as a result dining is more on the expensive side but we had lovely food and excellent service. Very handy for Limerick only ten minutes away by a good bus service. Bathrooms need an upgrade and could do with being made bigger by stealing some of the wasted large bedroom space. It is unfortunately true that if you stay in the rooms off the public areas you will be woken by noisy guests, but this is not really the hotels fault and they will move you if you ask. Could really do with an in-room info pack." (2613904)
Very helpful, cheerful staff.
Bathrooms really need an update and spoilt what is quite a nice room.

When we first arrived the room allocation was too close to the road and building works. However, when we hilighted the problem we were moved immediately to a room in a better location. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it immensely.

"The hotel is in a great location and the staff were terrific. We stayed in 5 hotels in a 9 day trip to Ireland. This was the only hotel that didn't offer either full or continental breakfast free. There were 6 in our party. Two of us have no breakfast but like coffee or juice, two usually eat very light (juice/coffee & toast) and two may have eggs, toast and coffee. This, at 13.00 euro per person would translate to about $100 for our party to have used breakfast option. The hotel automatically adds it to room charge at checkin, it's up to you to remove charge at checkout. Also, pool (leisure center) should be open beyond 8 pm. Many travelers are either just checking in or returning from sightseeing/shopping/dinner between 7-8 at night. We got back from Cliffs of Moher (75 minutes) from hotel at about 8 pm looking forward to a swim/jacuzzi after a long day of travel, only to learn pool was closed. Overall hotel was acceptable." (2510625)
The location to Shannon Airport,Bunratty Castle,restaurants/shopping was great. Cliffs of Moher w/in 70 min. drive.
Amenities:Pool closing at 8PM when people are just checking in or returning from sightseeing/dinner. Overpriced breakfast: 13.00 euro pp.
