    "This is a good hotel, well placed in the town, it is clean and the staff are very helpful. Some rooms are a bit small but have all the facilities you need. I would stay again if I visited Jerez." (97123251)

    The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also the hotel was very centrally situated and we were able to walk to places we wanted to visit.

    The hotel was very noisy on our second night with people playing guitars (badly) at 3 a.m.

    "Adequate breakfast. Room spacious but bathroom facilities on the small side. Hairdryer worked. Close to one supermarket, shops and eateries. Downside was that not all reception staff spoke English, but those that did were understandable. The staff were most helpful, pleasant and considerate. We would definitely stay there again."     Spacious twin bedded room. No bedroom smells nor bathroom smells. It was always fresh and pleasant to enter.

    A little noisy with road traffic noise, but we do live in a very quiet neighbourhood at home!

    "The hotel was exactly as described. It was a good value 2 star well located. I used the train and bus stations in Jerez and this hotel is in walking distance. There are a good number of restaurants bars groceries etc very close by. The staff were exceptionally helpful with advice about transportation places to visit etc. For a person on a budget this is a good clean safe option. I enjoyed my stay." (99159715)

    Good value for money, good location for what I wanted to do. Very friendly staff.

    The accommodation was great. Some very anti social stayed in the room next to me for one of the nights I stayed but that is hardly the fault of the hotel.

    "Booking online was easy, check in was straight forward despite my lack of Spanish. The staff were all very helpful and knew enough English to help us. Room was cool, spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. I had a single room, it was compact but all I needed as a base to explore the area. Great location, would recommend." (3304799572)

    Good location, very clean, friendly staff, air con. Got 2 very good nights sleep and felt safe as a female staying alone.

    "The center of Jerez is within a 5 min walk, there are 3 nice restaurants within 200 meters of the hotel, This hotel is cheap and cheerful, its very clean, well air conditioned, the rooms are a bit small but this would not put me off visiting again, the staff are very helpful and speak fairly good english, there is internet access so you can check your e-mails and a laundry service is available if required, in all i would stay there again and plan to do so in the future."     "Neben den o.g. Besonderheiten, bleibt noch die Parkplatzfrage zu erwähnen. Es sind in der Umgebung genügend vorhanden, aber sollte man beachten, das diese werktags von 9.30 - 13.30 und von 17.00 bis 20.30 gebührenpflichtig sind. Die Gebühren sind nicht hoch, aber es ist doch oft etwas mühsam zur rechten Zeit nachzulegen." (99614566)

    Kleines, sauberes Hotel in Zentrumsnähe mit netter Leitung.

    Zimmer, die nicht zur Straße weisen, enden in einem Lichthof. Hier ist, naturgemäß, die Aussicht eher bescheiden. Die Zimmer nach vorn sind hell, aber auch zu manchen Tageszeiten etwas laut.

    "Very good location, central, rooms small but very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Three excellent restaurants just around the corner, staff happy to give direction if asked where to find 'restaurant carbona' - the others are in the same road. Go into the market square for your breakfast, half of Jerez does so. Jerez is a very good location from which to visit both Cadiz and Sevilla - both have regular trains." (3304380316)

    "Parking is not available but there is a pay garage not far from the hotel (8 Euro per day). It is not easy to park to load / offload the stuff - the hotel does not have a reserved spot for it. Good value for money - not something fancy but a solid 2-star place." (3304214101)

    Central location, quiet

    The breakfast is more than basic - but I guess this is the case in most of the hotels in Andalucia regardless of their category or price.

    "This is a good-value hotel, with very very courteous and friendly staff, and a high standard of cleanliness. It has no pretensions to luxury, but is very comfortable for a short stopover for those needing to be near the railway station or airport.     The location is GREAT, just a few minutes walk from the city center. If you plan on driving it is easy to get out of the city to the beaches and any other location. The staff are very friendly and willing to help with ANY of your needs. A WONDERFUL place to stay in Jerez!!!

    I liked Avila Hotel because it is small, and seems to be a privately owned and operated hotel.

    It was disappointing that there were no restaurants nearby where I could have my evening meal. As a single woman, I do not like walking alone at night in a strange area. I did not eat an evening meal in Jerez.

    "The hotel was very clean and tidy, the staff were very helpful. The language barrier was not much of a problem. Most of the staff were able to converse in English. We found this hotel was very good value for money, especially as it is located within a couple of minutes walk from a large and growing shopping area." (3304103264)

    It was clean, tidy and well kept.

    Being an English family we like a cup of tea, the hotel could maybe provide facilities for tea making. Kettle, cups etc.

    "The hotel is situated in the center of the town, in the south zone. There is a pay-parking possibilities in the street, but in august it's free. The room is much pretty one and cleaned up. The bath is large and with the hair dryer. The room is equipped of conditioned air, TV and balcony. Near the hotel there are a lot of Pubs, restaurants, banks and shops." (2522240)

    Hotel Avila is a very good hotel, situated in the centre of the town. The room was very fine and the accessibility is good. In August, the car parking in the street is free.

    I think that could offer a simple breakfast including with the room.

    "more about its location and surroundings, this really is its selling point! The fact that you need to be able to speak spanish as staff speak very little English, but were very friendly and helpful A map, showing 1 way system and directions of how to get to the hotel as it is not easy to find room was very comfortable and the air conditioning was very effective and much needed as it was 42 degrees standard of cleaning of room was first class great to have a room with a balcony and modern ensuite bathroom, not sure what other rooms were like parking in the road is available but you have to pay for it" (2463417)

    excellent location close to old town, great for exploring and close to the shops

    directions on how to find the hotel, it took us an hour and a half to find!
