"The staff were friendly, the room basic but adequate for our purpose. The hotel was modern and clean. We would definitely use again if attending Olympia or Earls Court. Our only gripe is a small one concerning the quality of the fruit juice; which let down an otherwise excellent continental breakfast. The juice had very little taste and tasted as though it had been made of a poor quality powder as opposed to freshly squeezed fruit. At very small cost this could be improved!!" (97994304)

Room was small but functional. Facilities were modern and practical and appropriate for a short stay.

One lift was out of action which led to a short wait for the remaining lift in the busy post breakfast period.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and provided everything required as a base for a short stay in London.

"very overpriced for what it is, not sure how it is exactly justified, 135.00 per night for two was way to expensive." (97932719)

it was very well located for where our venue was

being charged for parking after paying the amount we did for the nights stay,

"It was only the problem with the towels that distracted from the otherwise very good stay. Complimentary breakfast was of a very high standard and plentiful." (99021681)

All the accommodation and public areas were exceptionally clean.

Towels in the room had not been checked properly before room was re-let as a couple were grubby and had lipstick stains from previous occupant.

"We booked in as 3 female work colleagues expecting to get two twin beds and an extra/sofa bed which is what our experience has been in other similar hotels. We were not happy to find that we had a double and a sofa bed. We had not anticipated two of us having to share a bed and feel that this should have been made absolutely clear when booking. We were told that it was not possible to give us a twin room with a sofa bed in, as there were none and it was not company policy. Due to the very busy weekend with a number of events on it was not possible to find another hotel and so we had to put up with this for a week. Whenever possible we will find an alternative to Express by Holiday Inn and will advise our colleagues to do the same." (99235916)

BAsic standard accommodation - you get what you expect with no surprises - breakfast being included is good

Bed was not very comfortable and pillows were hard and only one each

Location superb - less than 5mins walk from West Kensington tube stop.

    A bedsheet was torn.

    Reasonably comfortable, pleasant helpful staff.

Extra pillows would have been nice. Only one set of towels in a room booked for two people.

"Unorganised breakfast facilities, no cooked breakfast offer, no bar open after returning from the Theatre (closed at 11pm), not a nice area of central London. far too basic for the price." (99495406)

The room was clean, nice bathroom

Lack of Tea & Coffee, only one pillow, uncomfortable bed, cheap breakfast offer

"My wife has stayed in your hotels before and had no problems. We enjoyed our stay, the area this time was not so good but it served our purpose as we were going to an event at Earls Court. We then went on a shopping spree. Booking was easy over the net and booking in and out at hotel was painless. staff were very polite and helpful. always love the breakfasts. No problems will certainly stay again." (3305027871)

    clean, quiet, smoke free

    no draw space

The bar closed at 11pm. In most hotels I've stayed in the bar stays open until the last resident retires to bed.

"Very poor area, felt unsafe at night walking from underground station. Difficult to get a taxi It took an hour from central London one evening due to problems on the Underground. It is fine for Earls Court/Olympia but I would not use it otherwise. Lsack of restaurants nearby" (3304500467)

Clean, everything worked, no bad smells

    Poor breakfast

  • 7/10 Jayne ( Young couple)

    from Mirfield , United Kingdom;GB  on  December 23, 2005

"Easy to reach the hotel, good directions. Parking facilities great. Near to Earls Court and West Brompton tube stations and Earls Court. Would have liked to have been given more help it getting out and about e.g the offer of directions to nearest tube station, local attractions etc, rather than just a map. Room was spacious, and clean with all necessary facilities however air conditioning unit not working so a little chilly during our stay. Breakfast was continental self service, there was no mention of this when booking. Would have liked option for room service breakfast and choice of cooked and/or continental. Also the bar closed at 11.30pm, which meant we just returned in time for one drink. Would recommend due to location and cleanliness, however I believe nearby hotels offer the same facilities (except parking) for £40 less per night. So without the additional facilities mentioned I will probably not stay here again." (2943688)

Handy for the venue we were attending concert at and hotel was clean and well presented

Breakfast service limited and bar only open until 11.30pm, would be better to be open until at least 12.30am.

It was very clean and new.

In the bar area there was a distinct lack of atmosphere. It was too clinical.

On the downside, internet access was expensive, and they will not call you a black cab (only minicabs)." (2456545)
