"The dining room was very average with nothing attractive about it. The dinner menu was extremely limited - first course and main course limited to two items one of which would usually be described as 'fish of the day' or 'meat of the day'. Dinner was not cheap! The waiting staff were very average as was the presentation of the food. The hotel itself, its sourroundings and location were excellent." (99159448)

"We enjoyed staying at the hotel, which was if anything better than we anticipated, and had many good aspects. The dining room was pleasant and cheerful, and the breakfast was very good. In the evenings we did not eat there, or on the very pleasant terrace, as there was not much menu choice there and plenty of good restaurants in the general area. The swimming pool is a big plus for this hotel, as well of course as the very good location, near the lake and away from the very busy town of Annecy." (99876572)

Good position in quiet village. Good view of lake and mountains from room's balcony. Very good swimming pool. Good private bathroom.

Room rather small. Some minor aspects did not impress as a quality hotel, such as paper labels on doors for room numbers; room key rack was (temporarily, we were told)missing.

"The hotel is fine. Staff are pleasant but don't get in the way. It's a little minimal - the minimum number of towels, tiny sachets of shampoo etc - but it's functional and clean and in a stunning location." (99890957)

This is a clean, unpretentious hotel, with a lovely garden and swimming pool. We didn't try the restaurant (except for breakfast) as there were more appetizing restaurants within walking distance. The village, Talloires, is lovely. Although its main business is tourism, it is very high end tourism and the area is quiet and the scenery is gorgeous. It's not for anyone seeking thrilling nightlife but if you like exquisite (albeit expensive) food and stunning scenery, it's great.

    It was a little charmless.

    The view and quiet

We were traveling late on Friday and couldn't reach anyone at the front desk to tell them we would be late checking-in. We had to sleep in our cars the first night.

One of the only hotels in Talloires with a swimming pool. Family owned, informal atmoshphere.

French breakfast was 13 Euros each, too expensive so we bought food at the local shops. The hotel restaurant was expensive and mediocre compared to others in Talloires.

"Rooms are well furnished and comfortable with bathroom facilities good. The shower in the bath has no curtain thus limiting the angle of the shower head to avoid a mess. We upgraded to a lake view + balcony, which was lovely. The hotel is really very pleasant and the staff are attentive and helpful. We didn't eat in at all, mainly because the 3 course fixed price menu was rather expensive (35 euros per head) and more than we really required. Breakfast is 13 euros per head. We bought what we needed from the local shop and ate breakfast on the balcony. There is a nice swimming pool and good sunbathing facilities although we tended to swim in the lake. There are adequate parking facilities. The cost of the stay included free bike hire, tennis, pedaloes, mini golf, access to the beach, and one cruise on the lake to Annecy and back. Talloires is generally quiet and restful. Overall we had a highly enjoyable stay and would be happy to return." (3304183177)

Location of hotel; space; cleanliness; warmth of welcome & helpfulness of staff.

No air conditioning; faulty shower fitting in one room; fixed-price menu.

"Food was the problem. Breakfast was 13 euros each, when we could buy the same in the local cafe for 5 euro 80. This we did. We did not dine in the hotel in the evening at all. Dinner was 35 euros with no choice. The local restaurants were excellent with good choice menus, three courses for 25-27 euros. Some people only slept in the hotel and did so each year as it was very comfortable. If we were returning to Talloires we would stay here again and dine out as the local restaurants were next door." Lovely room, spacious cupboards, lovely bathroom and separate w.c. balcony. Hotel was in great location with lovely grounds and pool. So handy for the village. Good parking.

    There was nothing to dislike.
