"I would highly recommend this hotel, price is reasonable for room size and breakfast." (97394150)

The hotel is ten mins walk away from North Acton tube station which is all flat surface to walk to and from the hotel. Hotel is close to shops, takeaways, cafe and morrisons is just down the road. Railway station five mins walk away, bus stop right outside and this takes you to tube station. Tube into London is about 25 mins travelling time and if you get a day saver its £5.30 and this includes your bus fares aswell. Friendly staff who have excellent customer service attitude. Hotel room was small but had everything I needed, en suite facilities spotlessly clean, bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was continental which consisted of cereals, fruit, cakes, toast and jam, marmalades etc, tea and coffee. It was adequate and extremely reasonably priced for stay.

Hotel is on a very busy main road and the traffic is really noisy but close your windows and turn your tv up and your find. I had no problem sleeping at night once I got used to traffic.

Rooms were plain and had lot sof cob webs.

London Guest Lodge was excellent value for money, clean with friendly helpful staff. It is well situated for all travel links and would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the area.

The only point of improvement would have been to let us know the time of the continental breakfast offered - we were unsure of times/how the service worked.

"Further to the points I have already raised about what I like or disliked about the accomodation, I have no further comments to make." (97381220)

The fact that the hotel was located in a part of London I could reach easily when travelling from the Midlands by car.

I chose this hotel because it stated it had parking, however, what I didn't realise was how limited for spaces this car park was, and the only way to park more than a few vehicles was for drivers to block each other in which meant that in the evenings, once I had parked my car, for the rest of the evening I was unable to go anyway by car as it was now blocked in. I also didn't like the fact that the room contained a large double bed, which didn't leave much floor space for anything else, including room to stand to get changed. I was also disappointed by the fact that the room did not have a desk/table with a chair, which left only the bed for somewhere to sit in the room.

Easily accesible to Wembley stadium which was the main reason for our stay, and the owner was very informative in helping us find our way!!!! Overall a wonderful place and highly reccomended!" Very small room, especially the bathroom, I am not a big man, but I couldn't have been much bigger. I know roomes in london are small, but anyway this was very small!

  • 3/10 Daren ( Family with older children)

from Derby , GB  on  June 4, 2007

"Remove the hotel from yout search engine as being close to Wembley - it isn't easily accessible for Wembley at all. Speak to the hotel management about the state of the place - rat traps under beds are a good indication as to the state of the rest of the place to be honest. This area shouldn't be recommended to people with children - it really doesn't feel safe and will be the difference between enjoying your time in London. We were only there for two nights, but it was awful - the carpets weren't vaccumed (maybe the cause of the infestation!). There was a free standing fridge in the room which was coming on & off all night - the toilet in the en-suite seemed to be filling itself every ten to fifteen minutes." (99693806)

"The room was very small. This however did not really bother us as all we did was sleep there because we were out all day sightseeing. The staff also have very good local knowledge. The accomodation was very easy to get to off the motorway and well signposted. There is a train station just up the road with regular trains into London or the tube station is a brisk 15 minute walk away which also takes you straight to the centre of London. We would definetely stay here again if we went to London." (99316016)

All the advertised facilites were available and in good working order during my stay and the staff were friendly, helpful and non intrusive. While I was aware that a smoker had previously occupied the room due to a faint smell of tobacco this was a not a serious problem. The nearest mainline station is Action Main Line, not Action Central - a mistake that I made that was also made by another visitor to the area." (99766880)

    Clean and cheap. Free parking.

Breakfast room is pretty basic, cereal and coffee were about it. If you need a big breakfast you probably woudl want to eat out. The hotel is still good value for most who have a light breakfast.

"Reasonable value - room fine and quiet - staff efficient and curteous. Choice of things at breafast limited - no healthier cereals or yoghurt. Most annoying was TV dominating breakfast space. When other guests all gone we switched it off, but when another guest came in staff switched it on again. Would not choose this again on basis of TV, but if you need that kind of thing it is OK." (97900878)

    TV on at breakfast
