    ease of parking, quality of restaurant, location

    when we arrived in our room there was no soap - we didn.t ask for it we just bought some. The tea coffee facilities were a bit awkward. Everything stuck in a drawer and only sufficient for one cup of coffee per day - a bit stingie

    It is well kept and in a quiet area. The staff are very helpful, and the food is excellent

    They need queen size beds, not just regular doubles which are not very roomy.

    "Pleasant hotel in a good location. I booked two rooms and one had a lovely view of the bowling green and fields whereas the other looked onto a slate roof ten feet away. The bar staff were very accommodating and the bar and library were very pleasant rooms although very warm." (97571613)

    Lovely room, good food in the bar with friendly staff.

    Bathroom refurbishments going on could have been a problem if we hadn't been out most of the time the banging was going on.

    quiet and homely. not too big, free parking, comfortable rooms, good bar food but a little pricey, bus stop at end of the road, clean rooms, staff were very polite,

    cleaners did not replace bottles of water or biscuits every day, rooms were a little on the small size and would not describe my room as executive as was described by the receptionist.

    "Despite being slightly difficult to find the hotel matched all the standards that I like in a hotel - it was quiet being away from the main road, the room was very comfortable, the bar food was excellent, and the service throughout was good.Both breakfasts were also veryt good.     "This hotel is recommended. Staff were very helpful and service was excellent. Restaurant and Bar Meals were both of high quality as was the breakfast. Restaurant meal prices may be a little high for some guests but were well worth the cost." (97943366)

    Comfortable with all necessary facilities

    In flightpath for Aberdeen Airport. Bathroom had a few faults which didn't affect our stay but it may discourage others.

    "From a previous review that I read on line I expected to hear quite a bit of aircraft noise, but I can honestly say my wife and didn't notice anything excessive. The tariff was about the same as we usually pay for a Hotel stay. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations, clean and very well appointed with a good firm bed that ensured a sound sleep for the two nights we were there. We dined both nights in the Bar and the food was reasonably priced and of excellent quality. As you would expect for a City with it's fishing links, the fish was excellent and the chef cooks a mean chili con carne and hot spicy Lamb pasanda. Very tasty On the second night we discovered why we had been placed at the far away end of the Hotel. A wedding reception was taking place and the Hotel Staff had thoughtfully placed us well away from where the function was taking place, which was very thoughtful of them" (99281877)

    The room was probably the best for the money that my wife and I have ever stayed in.

    The pillows were a bit on the thin side though I'm sure if we had asked that failing would have been rectified

    "Pleasant overnight stay - although we did hear a couple of noisy planes first thing in the morning. Good check in and check out. Breakfast was first class with good service and choice of menu.     It was child friendly, inexpensive and very commfortable and cosy. Our suite had everything we needed and more.

    Lighting in library possibly a little low for comfortable reading.

    it had an olde worldly feel to it very pleasant

    although we asked for a non-smoking room our room had a very strong smell of smoke in it. also the staff could have been a bit more friendly.

    Poco.Alle 11.00 di sera ancora non avevano preparato la camera tripla prenotata da 4 mesi..e poi ci hanno portato il bagaglio in camera solo a metà lasciando il resto in reception chissà per quale motivo.
