    "Very good, clean, new and welcoming once you found the entrance! Nice to stay in a 'motel' which had food available and a bar!" (107137241)

    Everything was very good about the hotel except for the following points that could be rectified easily

    Very poor signage approaching the Hotel. Very difficult to find entrance in the industrial park. Checking in procedure was puzzling regarding how much would actually be charged to my credit card re 'Incidentals'. Checking out in the morning took a long time due to insufficient training of the overnight staff - He was extremely friendly and smart but needs better training! The cost of the TV facility in the bedroom was not clear and did not appear to be displayed anywhere

    We liked the "concept" of Purple Hotels. Good value for money. Willing and helpful staff. Good size rooms with lovely beds.We liked the fact that you were helping to train guide dogs.

    None really, although the location on a business park two miles outside Shrewsbury is not ideal.

    All the hotel staff were friendly and really helpful to everyone. The hotel room was large, clean and very comfortable. Lots of car parking for guests. We enjoyed our stay alot and thought that it was excellent value for money.

    "Top value for money" (97164587)

    Very good sized room, enormous bed which was extremely comfortable, everything worked including the excellent shower. Despite being on a business park, this hotel also has a great view of the Shropshire countryside. AND, booking early online meant that it was really cheap!

    "Disappointing as evening was spoilt due to lack of service on arrival back at the hotel. Wouldn't stay or recommend to anyone, if the same policy regarding early closure of bar remains in force. It's ridiculous!!" (97500992)

    Nice spacious room, very clean.

    On arrival back to the hotel at 11.30pm the bar was closed, (we had not been informed on checking in that this would be the case, otherwise we would have been prepared!!!) We were informed that there was no way of purchasing any drinks (soft or alcoholic) which quite frankly was very disappointing and put a dampener on the whole stay.

    "Not very good as on returning to our room on the first night our room had not been cleaned or bed made.when reported to reception they were not interested.so we did it ourselves.also breakfast was a shambles hardly any hot food." (97101505)

    As we used to live inShrewsbury this hotel is ideal for visiting friends which we do on a regular basis.the location is good.

    We used to stay at the travel lodge all the time which is cheaper but changed to have the breakfast included.

    "The accomodation was good, clean and adequate for a short stay. I believe that more thought should be given to the staffing levels at breakfast time, we arrived at 9.00am to find no clean tables to sit at, and a very stressed and harrassed receptionist who we had seen on duty the previous night trying to juggle booking out of clients, wiping and setting tables for guests arriving for breakfast, and generally doing her best. She should not have been put into such a situation, apologising for the lack of staff! in all a very embarassing start to the day and one which the management should take careful note of."     "Location in an industrial estate isn't great but it's that kind of hotel, it's very modern and clean and rooms are very nice and offer everything a business traveller could need, it's only 5 mins drive into town and it's in a good position for all road links. The wireless works but the internet side of it I found too slow to be of any decent use." (97256109)

    In relation to the price, and other hotels we use, it was good value.

    You claim to have SKY. It didn't work the whole time we were there. It seemed to be aimed at Business users given its location. When we booked we were under the impression it was not as remote as it turned out to be. Returing to the business focus, we did miss the fact that there was no tourist info/brochures on display. Every other hotel we've stayed in has this. So much so that we expected it and were put out having no info on where to go. Furthermore, where was the nearest pub/supermarket? Which way do you go to get there? As I say above, you seem focused on busines clientele. Fair enough, but you should make that clear.

    On arrival the Queen's room was not made or cleaned but Clare on reception upgraded the room within minutes. Comfortable and quiet room

    I had booked online and paid at the time of booking however the receptin staff insisted I had not paid - so I gave my card details to pay again as it turns out I had already paid, I was not charged again but had to get to a bank to confirm that I had already paid

    "When I booked I thought that it was room only. The first morning of my stay I was therefore suprised to see breakfast was available and therefore thought I was wrong about it being room only. It wasn't until i booked out on the third day that I realised (as I was billed) that breakfast was not complimentary. Nowhere does it suggest that breakfast will be charged. Our particular room was away from the busy road so was very peaceful and quiet and we slept extremely well. The location is easy for access to the M54.     "It really does make a change to have the entire staff as pleasant as each other. Great warm and genuine welcome to the hotel. Quick and organised booking in procedure . Nice quiet location of the hotel within easy reach of all the places we wanted to visit. Breakfast slightly overpriced but up to a good standard and convenient. The staff were really helpful , answered all my queries and appeared genuinely happy and pleasant , one of the few places I have visited recently where staff don't appear to be forcing themselves to be nice to guests. thankyou and please pass on my thanks to all the staff."     Modern clean room

    Could smell cigarette smoke from other rooms in my room, even though mine was non smoking. I find this really irritating! Especially now with the non smoking law. Smoke does travel!

    Near the business appt. New building, clean & tidy, with a good bathroom.
