"Overall good - with the exception of initial arrival & checking in." (107126273)

Excellant room ; excellant facilities in room.

Tried on several occassions to phone the hotel directly for directions when we got lost. Couldnt get through on a number of occasions (very frustrating!) & was merely re-directed to the "Operator" who wouldnt answer the phone. Found the Eastern European staff at the reception very sullen - a smile wouldnt go a miss....

"Noisy. We were opposite the noisiest street in Bristol with a nultitude of bars and pubs. " (108089641)

Unhelpful staff. I could not understand a word the female receptionist spoke she mumbled her way through the check in check out procedure. They had no idea about parking available in the area and were unhelpful.

"overall I had a pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the apartment was a generous size. The main problem was the shower really - if I had had to stay more than one night this would have bothered me - but as I only had to use it once i put up with it. If they just installed in a new shower and renewed the kitchen appliances it would have been perfect!!! overall I can't complain though! and would reccommend it to anyone who wants the convenience of being able to cook their own meals etc. It is also in a very good central position for restauarants and shops. " (97348630)

On arrival staff / reception were very friendly and helpful - made me feel very welcome and when I telephoned in the evening to ask a question they were very amenable. The apartment was large, light and airy, as appeared in pictures on the internet. Very comfortable big sofa and arm chair. Bedroom very large and airy. Was surprisingly quiet - no noise from other guests or from outside during the evening.

I know bristol quite well but still found it quite tricky to find the entrance initially - not very well signposted. I would advise getting a taxi if you are new to the city. Although the bathroom was nice and big and otherwise great - the shower was quite old and spurted water out of the top soaking the floor during use. Although generally the apartment was adequately clean with fresh linen / towels - there were a few large blue stains on bedroom carpet and the kitchen wasn't that clean. Also there wasn't a full crockery / cutlery set which might have caused problems if there was more than one person staying. Also the appliances in the kitchen were all a bit old and well-used. Could do with replacing.

"There was no warning about the number of steps to the restaurant. For a 90 yr old lady and a couple with various mobility difficulties this was a serious oversight. perhaps - if a disabled room is not available, an aid for the toilet could be provided e.g. a riser on the seat. The hotel corridors did appear in need of some refurbishment/decoration as the paper was peeling in places. There was no warning about noise from the harbourside bars.Little sleep until after 03.00 am Restaurant staff were pleasant and helpful. Food and wines were excellent. Bar service was a bit slow." (97115333)

The rooms were spacious. Public areas pleasant.

The noise from the harbour bars which we were not warned about. My mother had a room overlooking the back and was not disturbed. There were no disabled rooms available. My mother-90 yrs old- found the toilet very low.

Good sized room, nice decor and comfortable bed.

Bath and sink both require maintenance as both plugs allowed water to empty when closed.

"overall it was a decent stay, however, for a 4 star hotel the basics in my eyes was not adhered to as commented in dislikes above. sometimes it was hard to communicate with the receptionists as they were foreign also but finally the point was put across when we could not exit the carpark with our card so the NCP staff had to be called out to lift the barrier" (97390568)

the location was very good in the centre of the city and the NCP carpark was a very good price for the weekend

for the star facility of the hotel i expect the toilet to be clean, there be a tea spoon for the brew kit and thte teabags topped up daily. this was not the case as when the toilet seat was lifted on arrival there were 2 urine stains before we used it. there was no teaspoon to stir our tea and we had 3 regular teabags that had to last us for the weekend. this should be checked when the room is tidied

"When we booked the rooms over the internet, we found it easy to set up. We did want to book quiet a few rooms but it would only let us book 4 rooms at any one time, which was anoying. We also found it hard to book a twin room rather than a double room. The only was around this, we found, was to then call the hotel and ask them to change the reservation. But the staff were very accommodating over the phone. On arrival at the hotel the car park was easy to find, though we found it a bit confusing which floor we should use staying at the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 12pm but our rooms were not available. So we had to put all our luggage into one room as we has an appointment to go too. That was fine. The rooms themself were excellant. It was clean, well decorated and very spacious. I We found it to be a little disapointing when there was not a king size bed though. But the bed was very comfortable, and the room was warm.It had extra blankets in the wardrobe along with an extra pillow, though it would of been nice to have 2 extra pillows as there was only 2 on the bed. The bar staff were excellant, they catered to all our needs considering we were a large group of 20. The hotel did not mind children being around either. It would have been nice to have had some entertainment on a Saturday night. We couldn't go far as we had young children with us. We found the room servive excellant, though they did mess up our order, but we didn't complain as it was good. Overal all we thought that we had an excellant night in the hotel and are looking forward to the next family reunion in 2009." (97071276)

The size of the room was excellant. It was clean and well decorated. The location to the center of town was excellant. Car park was easy to use. Quality of staff was outstanding, with the exception of the waiting staff at breakfast.

It would of been nice to have a king size bed, most other modern hotels can accommodate. When we went for breakfast the next morning, we found that there was not enough tables available. We were unable to be seated together. The hot food ran out and took quite a while for the staff to replace it. I did ask a member of staff for a a particular request to be told that she couldn't help me.
