"The hotel was very comfortable and relaxed. The staff were friendly. The facilities in the room were good. Not too far from Birmingham airport. Would book again." (97385821)

"The purpose of our stay at the Hotel was that we were exhibitors at Crufts Dog Show. We stayed one night, therefore, the accommodation met our requirements, obviously with the exception of the poor food. One other point I would like to make is that there was no soap etc. in the bathroom, only shower gel." (97065826)
Unfortunately, the hotel food left a lot to be desired. It was very disappointing.

"In general I find the hotel comfortable. Ordering food was difficult, as i was told what i couldnt order which seemed nearly a third of the menu. Check in was difficult regarding credit card authorisation on this occasion, having no problems the previous 3 times i have stayed at the hotel. I have referred 2 of my colleagues who have stayed at the hotel in the last 3 weeks." (97457527)

booked a double room and got twin bedded. In a room at the back of the hotel and a noisy fan kept me awake

"easy to find, clean large room. polite staff, comfy bed. Decor in good repair but i know the hotel is quite new so time will tell on this...my only moan apart from the keycard is that breakfast is not included in the price." (97605906)

"when I have booked my stays with other hotels I have never had the problem with a different name and address when I pointed this problem out on arrival I was told this problem would be sorted. I cant submit my expenses in someone elses name can you. unfortunately you will not be on top of my list for further bookings" (97327586)

booking in not the right name and did not know which room I had boooked and wrong room prices on arrival normally I would book through intell and I feel u would have charged full rate for the stay so not overly impressed with service

Expensive for the type of hotel -- I use Sleep Inns in North America and this was very pricey -- Internet access cost prohibitive would probably not stay there again because of room cost + internet cost

"the only bad part of the stay was sunday morning,the breakfast buffett service was really shoddy,i.e.no plates or glasses,they ran out of milk and bread and a lot of the time there was no hot food,saturday morning wa completely the opposite,one person who was an absolute gentleman was a chap called brian,when we checked in on friday evening" (97760911)

"Confirmation of my booking came through with no information. I had to re visit website and try to remeber what hotel I booked. Hotel was under staffed on the night of our stay,but, was only a minor issue as Aga on reception was very efficient. Hospitality after midnight was excellent. Breakfast and check out was very good." "free secure parking and modern spacious rooms. shower only so not for those who like to linger in a hot bath. came down to breakfast at about 8.30 and found it was alittle sad. arrived back at the hotel late and fortunately had the code to enter the car park....this reqirement not made clear." "The hotel was a bit difficult to find, not knowing Birmingham, could have done with clearer directions. We were impressed with the room, and it was very spacious and clean. Needed more towels, there were two of us, although maybe I didn't make that clear. I was disappointed that there was no internet in the reception as in most travel hotels there are internet facilities which you can pay for. But on the whole we were both very impressed and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will certainly use this hotel and others in the group again." (99847942)

"A first class place to stay. We were very impressed at the standard throughout from staff to the actual Hotel itself. An excellant place to stop over and value for money, didn't really want to leave it was so comfortable, including the bed would not hesitate to recommend the place and can't wait to use it again when in the area, definitely top of our list to book again. "Food was awful - not only were our two main courses not as described on the menu, they and the starters tasted like someone had opened a packet and put it in the microwave. The mashed potato tasted like packet/powder, the lamb shank was tough, the gravy was incredibly salty. Fish (as in fish and chips) tasted off. Grossly overcooked. Breakfast was only very average - fruit juice and coffee/espresso/hot chocolate out of machines - not fresh. Rooms were great - nice and clean, lots of space and great shower cubicles." (97070289)

"I think the website gave a very clear picture of the hotel and the accommodation. The room was very comfortable and spacious and we liked the welcome tray of tea, coffee etc. We particularly liked the help yourself drinks in the dining area. The evening meals were quite good but a bit expensive for the quality, as were the drinks. The breakfast, however, was good value for money. I think the bed could have been improved by a lighter-weight duvet for the summer." (99218995)

"The hotel was convenient and pleasant being brand new, and whilst basic was adequate in every way, and no item justyfied complaint. However, whilst pricing may well reflect market trends, the standard, service, facilities and location are over priced and therefor not value for money." (99665671)
