"First of all, we were unable to have our own key to the room, because 4 room keys had gone missing and our room was one of them. We were told that there would be someone to let us in, with the master key, whenever we arrived back at the hotel. The room wasn't en-suite as was requested. It smelled musty. the main light on the ceiling didn't work. The television had no sound. The sheets weren't of a very good standard - we asked for more. There was no hot water coming out of the bathroom sink tap and no plug. There was no iron in the room - we had to ask for 1. All in all - very disappointing." (97561814)

"Shocking hotel. Would never stay there again and would never recomend that anyone else stay there. Left the hotel at 5am because I could not stand to stay another minute." (97209359)

The tv did not work, it was dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, the staff were unfriendly.

"very friendly staff, generally very nice and clean B&B type establishment. Cost for this sector of the hotel market is about being the best (I stay in quite a lot of high-end modern boutique style small hotels - and they are much higher class & less cost). off-road parking behind the hotel is very good, so don't be put off by the 3 spaces at the front of the hotel, not sure that a high-end boutique hotel is compatable with the surrounding area ??? However, it was a nice stay and the room was OK (roof leaked slightly and there was evidence of damp patches being painted over to hide them). Decor and furnishings were quite modern and attractive. If you need to stay this side of Manchester, it's a nice place (if a little expensive for what it is), but if you want to be nearer the city centre, there are other options." (97738710)

friendly, well-run, clean and tidy B&B (slightly up-market)

not enough up-market or the right location to justify the high cost

    "It was awful." (97125551)

The window was covered in mould. The television was broken. The wiring for the electric heater was stuck onto the wall with nails. The bedroom door did not lock properly as the door was hanging off the hinges.

the boy checking us in was very polite.

after being told we could check in after 2pm, we arrived a little after 6pm and our room was still not ready. we had no key to our room for a couple of hours because it could not be found,so couldnt go out.no one to cook breakfast, no one to check us out. we were not informed that it was a hotel with shared facilities. the noise late at night was unbearable.

"I was extremely disappointed with the accommodation provided. The TV was free view, however due to a very poor signal I was unable even to watch a single program for more that a few minutes. The fact that there were no on suite facilities I found to be very frustrating. I would expect this as a given in most hotels. Very disappointed indeed." (99274633)

There was very little to like about the accomadation.

The Room overlooked a very busy and noisy main road. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. There were no on suite bathroom facilities. There was only a shared bathroom.

"The staff were nice however there was a lack of information regarding breakfast. They advertise full english breakfast available at a cost, however no one was available to organise this and you were not asked on arrival.i not quite sure what was available for the continental breakfast either and this was included in the price. The hotel served our purpose as we were only staying overnight and left early the following morning however i would not stay there any longer. the shower was freezing even on the highest setting but after a 5 hour drive we both needed one. tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been nice." (97175698)

The staff were really helpful with regards to organising a taxi for us so we were able to go out the evening we arrived.

There was no hot water at all from the shower. we both had a cold shower before we went out and there was still no hot water the following morning. the pillows were like boulders and very uncomfortable. we were not informed of the process for breakfast the following morning and just left without bothering as there was no one around to ask.

The cleanliness was good and the furniture was nice but not what you would expect in a bedroom, more dining room with the bed and not the table?? The staff were very friendly.

Shared bathroom, no hot water, and lack of hanging space, no tea making facilities in the room, no key to the room which meant trusting the guy to lock it and let us back in! lack of mirrors in the room!!

The furniture are new and nice (IKEA I think). Good Internet access.

It was really not clean though everything looked new, the worst thing was the shower, the water could not go down, there was plenty of hairs in the tray, then I have decided just to wash my hair outside of the shower. I could not have a proper wash in these conditions. The fitted-sheet was stained and was not looking clean.

"It's a hotel in a residential area of Manchester. About 4 km from the centre. The hotel is actually in the middle of an attached house, where two attached houses has been made in to Citi Park Hotel." (97389382)

    Small, but nice room.

Sharing bathroom. The bathroom was small, a lot of hair everywhere and the tiles on the floor were not well put together. This bathroom will not last for long....

I thought all rooms are en-suite at the time of booking." (99950731)

Room was airy and very cosy.Lots of room to put your personal belongings.Well positioned flat screen television and adequate channels.Very clean and well presented to a high standard.

I thought all rooms were en-suite.I probably misread the information on the website.

"This accommodation is alot closer to the town center than you would expect there was a bus stop right outside so easy access if you dont want to drive into the town. When we first arrived the staff were friendly and helpful giving us advice on the town and how to get around. Our digital tv kept losing signal, we let the staff know and by the time we came back in from shopping the problem was fixed and we had no further problems." (99383914)

The room was very modern but in a cosy kind of way. Although it wasnt a large room there was enough storage and space to get around in.

I found it weird that it was supposed to be an en-suite bathroom yet the bathroom was nextdoor to the room itself and seemed to be a shared one.

Above all, genuine people. Possibly a little way outside city centre for some, but price reflects that. Definitely recommend Citi Park." (99597718)

"My partner and I stayed in a superior double. As someone who has worked in the tourism industry, helping set tourism standards within a small business, I found the room was very clean and well presented. The ensuite shower room was more than adequate! The overall theme to the room i.e. furniture and colour was very classy. The staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble i.e. taxis and ordering directions. The breakfast chef was polite and the full english breakfast did the job the morning after our night out. There are only 2 tables in the dining room, but this didn't bother my partner and I as we had breakfast late and it was just us at the time. Although only a small establishment, it offers huge quality for very, very reasonable prices. I have stayed in establishments that cost twice the price and were not a patch on the Citi. The only thing that would remotely suggest would be to change the check-in location. It could be better located towards the front of the building rather than in the living room area, with better sign posting as to which door to use at the front of the building. Overall, extremely happy, will call again if in Manchester." (99504668)

Flat screen tvs, clean, tidy, very good value for money.

Not knowing the manchester area, i found explaining citi's location to the taxi driver quite difficult. this however was not Citi Parks fault, but pre-ordering of a private hire may be more cost effective and efficient than a black cab.

"Room was very clean abit on the small side but for price accommodation was reasonable. Only thing which will put me off staying again was the walls were very thin and I had a particularly loud neighbour and was kept awake until the early hours because of the next door toilet noise. Plus side staff were friendly and always willing to help." (99429383)

    Very clean reasonable price

Walls were very thin I could here everything from next down and up stairs
