Staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean and modern. The shower was excellent.

The only bad point was that when we booked it wasn't clear when we entered the card details whether any money would be taken.

Most impressed by standard of hotel and staff who couldn't be more helpful

from Co clare , IE on  October 31, 2007

"Overall excellent. We didn't get to spend much time in the hotel. We also had dinner out. Breakfast was perfect. Would definitely recommend it." (97110312)

New, clean, very good location, easy to find, excellent breakfast, very good value, good parking, near shopping centre

Nothing significant, but would have liked a stronger shower. One small bedside locker, which had a phone on it, was a bit too small for 2 people.

"Great - will recommend it." (108005130)

Well insulated, quiet, spotless & stylish room. Staff polite & friendly. Good breakfast.

Smoking area outside was too near the entrance, untidy and smelly. Off-putting on arrival.

"Poor as I needed internet to clear the days business- if I had been aware the hotel had such problems I would have stayed elsewhere and come back when the problems were resolved" (108064069)

Staff very helpful overall particularly the night staff who tried to assist with the Internet problems. They were equally frustrated by the system at the end.

No connection to Internet at all- OK you have glitches with the new system and no one had a clear idea of what the code number was (given three answers by three staff members) but nothing worked no matter what was tried Could not get laptop to connect in the lobby so at 12.30 in the morning gave up. In the morning to add insult to injury the TV failed as well although it had worked the previous evening!!

Really poor staff any request was too much for them.

"Very enjoyable stay, the staff guided us to a few points of interest." (97147652)

The staff where friendly and very helpful.

I asked for towels to shower at 6pm and by 11pm had still not recieved them. I phoned reception to remind them and was then given hand towels instead of bath towels.

    noisy location

  • 6/10 Anonymous (Group of work colleagues)

    Breakfast included in price.

Inconsiderate neighbours in adjoining room...TV on til late, loud talking, left an alarm going off for hour in morning. When hotel is not fully booked could consider leaving a room empty between occupied rooms.

    "Review as above." (97218222)

The room was very clean and the shower and bathroom were excellent. The self service breakfast and choice of foods was excellent. Compliments to the chef.

There was no wardrobe as such for the amount of clothes we had taken due to staying for 4 nights. At night the heating kept coming on but we were unable to open the window due to road noise.

from Portstewart , GB on  November 28, 2007

"The hotel was cheeerful and within easy driving distance of the M2 motorway and the airport. The area is quiet and there was plenty of parking space. Shops at the Junction One shopping complex were nearby. We left early to get to the airport at 6.30 and there was cereal, tea/coffee and toast available." (97116167)

    Bright and cheerful.

    Delays due to combined reception/bar

"Overall it was a great place to stay on our last night in Ireland." (99006835)

The hotel was brand new. It was bright clean and smelled great. The front desk staff was very friendly. A man came into our room to check the heating system. He was a very nice man.Breakfast was good.

My wife and I were travelling to Ireland for our 25th wedding anniversary. We weren't able to get a room with one bed.(We booked the day before so that is understandable.) The room could use some white noise. We could hear a lot of noise in the hall and conversations in the room next to us.

"I would have to describe the accommodation as disappointing - the curtains hung by a limited number of hooks, there was no kettle for a cup of coffee. The choice of evening meals was poor hence I ate elsewhere. On the basis of my one night's stay I will not be returning to this group of hotels" (97894959)

  • 7/10 Don (Mature couple)

from Malahide , IE on  July 29, 2007

"Room we had was very warm even with an outside temp of only 15C. We were on the 'street' side so with the window open very noisy and still no ventilation to cool. The upper hallways are also very warm with little or no air circulation. As soon as you enter the lobby area the temperature was several degrees cooler. I'd only stay again if on the 'quiet' side and a wind blowing in the window." (97542752)

    Very New

    Noisy and warm

"Bonne qualité de services (accueil, confort, restaurant, etc...). Personnel sympathique et serviable. Ambiance conviviale (restaurant, bar et coin salon)." (99569171)

L'hotel est situé près d'une zone commerciale avec notamment plusieurs restaurants.

L'hotel holiday inn d'antrim est assez éloigné de belfast (environ 18 miles).

We did find in our travels in Ireland and England that hotels only offered send out laundry services but could I suggest making a self help coin operated washing machine and dryer available as not every one likes to send out personal laundry and may not stay long enough to use laundry services."
