"MY OVERALL STAY WAS VERY GOOD AND I WOULD GO BACK. MY ONLY CONCERN WAS THE SERVICE IN THE BREAKFAST ROOM. IT WAS A LITTLE VAGUE WHAT WE WERE SUPPOSED TO DO (ie SEAT OURSELVES OR WAIT)AND THE STAFF WERE NOT VERY ATTENTIVE. IT WAS ALSO NOT CLEAR WHAT EXACTLY WAS AVILABLE FOR COOKED BREAKFAST. A SMALL MENU ON THE TABLE WOULD HAVE HELPED." (97156342)
THE ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE AND QUIET.

"Fab for overnight stay, wouldn't want to stay there as a base for a holiday - very functional and not overly 'attractive'. Easy to walk into local village if didn't fancy eating at the hotel. More like a motel than hotel. Staff efficient, polite and courteous. " (108048203)
Good access to A30 and M5 and therefore Exeter. Much quieter than we expected being so near to the main road. Clean, plenty of hot water.

"Good efficient service. Adequate though small room - it was a double would have been v. small for 2 people. " (97329519)
Efficient check-in. Good evening meal on-site. V.close to motorway connections
Room v. warm and large window on ground floor not suitable to be left open all night because of security issues, partic being a lone female.

"Conveniently located for our part of the stay, you would need own transport. Noticed a coach party each day and I guess they made it to breakfast first and ate all the fresh stuff. Also could have been busy." (108005485)
Value for money
Not sure if charged a premium for booking on-line or just room rates out of date. Doors had teething problems.

"More of a Motel than a Hotel, but we were well satisfied and no complaints!" (108080948)
Good parking, friendly service, simple accommodation but adequate for what we needed and a good meal in the restaurant.

"See above. I had booked a double room but we were allocated a suite. This makes my response to this questionnaire biased to a degree. However, the others in our party very quite satisfied with their accommodation." (97948790)
Open (stair-free) layout made room access easy; however, the hotel's layout is probably less convenient if the weather is bad. The parking was spacious and convenient to the room location. Rooms were clean, comfortable. Restaurant was bright and airy, with staff who were pleasant and helpful.
None to speak of in our situation except that a booking error had been made. However, this worked to our advantage since we were 'upgraded' to a suite which was very well appointed.

Accessibility, parking, unobtrusive attentive service
On leaving A38 South exiting to Kennford; at the first T-junction there was no indication which way The Exeter Court Hotel would be. We took the left turn into Kennford to the very end before realising we might find it in the opposite direction. For this size of hotel we would have expected a noticeboard at the T-junction.

"Very friendly staff, good service, clean and confortable accommodation in contemporary surroundings. A fab shower (which many hotels fail on in my opinion). I would certainly recommend this hotel and will definitely return." (97287383)
Roomy, comfortable, contemporary, well equipped, clean and with a great shower.
Sample menu in each room could be more specific in terms of what menu (including prices) is available in the bar and the restaurant.

Accommodation was clean and functional. Shower was nice and powerful. The food in the restaurant was of a high quality.
The mattress was very unconfortable. My colleague said this was the same in their room as well. The car park area is very drak which would have made it very intimidating if I was travelling alone. I didn't like having to walk across a dark car park to the reception and to the restaurant.

The bedroom and bathroom both had an entry to a loft space that ran to the next door rooms, from a security point of view not the best!!

"Hotel offers easy access from the road and staff very friendly. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The room was ok clean and adequate for a one night stay. However, very dissapointingly the shower was terrible I could not regulate the water temperature. I advise you check these things out before you accept your room!" (97414655)

"For a family room for 4 we had only 2 towels to start with,2 cups and saucers ,no spoon, a radiator that did not work and the morning shower only had hottish water for 2. My daughter had to go to another room for her shower and my son showered in cold water. The breakfast was excellent though." (97899949)

"The reception, bar and restaurant were very modern and well decorated. It looked really posh. The room however was very small but still had everything you needed in them. The hotel is just off the motorway so we were nervous that there would be a lot of noise but we didnt hear anything when in the hotel! The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the overall stay. The area is beautiful. The only really down side is that it cost between £11.50 and £15 for a one way taxi into exeter which is quite a bit of money when you want to go in to town a couple of times. Towards the end of the stay we found a bus stop on the other side of the by-pass. It comes about quarter past every hour and its £3.45 each loads cheaper!! The staff where very help and would go back now we found the bus stop :)" (97451857)

"See above but having stayed there and been well handled by the staff I would consider staying there again if in the area although this is unlikely). For the price it met the urgent business need I had but it would probably not be 'up to standard' for some." (97504283)
Inexpensive and close to where I needed to be.
The rooms are set apart as blocks or chalets with the restaurant, bar and reception in a separate building. It is not a hotel in the conventional sense more a lodge but the facilities were acceptable everything was clean and in working order. The set 2/3 course meal was inexpensive and deserved a commendation of the chef.

"The location of the hotel is great for getting on and off the motorway, but not so good if you want to get a taxi into town... Generally though I would recommend to anyone as long as you don't need a large room. The double rooms suit single occupancy very well." (97336673)
The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpfull.
Nothing to dislike, unless you want to swing things around in your room! I found it cosy and comfortable

The location was excellent for access to Exeter and Plymouth. Check in/out was quick and efficient. The hotel price was fair. The room was clean.

There was a central heating pipe running through the room which was very hot and made the room very hot too. I was told that the heating was turned off so there was nothing they could, this meant i had to sleep with the window open and suffer the noise of the main road.

"Probably better than average." (97553705)
Whilst next to a dual carriageway the double glazing cut out all traffic noise thus being able to get a good night's sleep. Also being next to a dual carriage meant that getting to various places was easy.
Small rooms including the bathroom that gave a feeling of clasutrophobia. After saying this you only stay in the rooms to go to bed.
