nice hotel, excellent staff, breakfast very good, location easy to get to and good base to plan from.
en-suite bathroom small with appliences poor performance, location not for everyone, run down area

Easy to find; reasonable price; adequate room, good ensuite bathroom; not noisy. Waiting staff polite & helpful.
Very poor greeting on arrival - staff member opened door whilst still on phone, finished call and just said "name..?" Staff couldn't wait to get off duty and made it obvious. TV not easy to operate. Very busy at breakfast and insufficient staff - one very sweaty waiter desperately trying to do his smelly best!

Unfortunate drain smell in room on 1st night but moved and very apologetic

The area the hotel is situated in is awful - we actually did not want to go out of the hotel because it was so rough.

The night staff in particular made a point of being approachable and made it clear that he would be willing to help with any issue, especially noisy residents if we wanted assistance which was great. Loved the breakfast, it was massive, quickly prepared and very delicious.
The hotel was great but the surrounding streets were a bit of a disappointment. The majority of houses were derelict and boarded up and walking around there was quite uncomfortable, I wondered how safe it was. My husband also commented about the hotel being in the middle of such a slum which wasn't what you would expect for what we paid.

This is an extremely friendly hotel and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the television in the bathroom, and big comfy bed.
Hair Dryer didn't work; the taps are a challenge to access in the bathroom.

room to small, shower didnt work got 3rd degree burns from it, area looked very poor, do not walk around outside at night get cab to town centre to be safe

The very helpful staff provided a welcoming and personal service and gave us good advice as to an area where we could find good restaurants. The room was clean and the bed & sheets comfortable. It was very quiet apart from the fire alarm going off at 1:00am. The breakfast was excellent.
We didn't fancy walking around the area.
