    "Very poor!" (107296453)

None really - check in lady was very friendly.

It was like you had stepped back 50 years in time! The hotel was shabby, old and dirty. I would not recommend that anyone stays in this hotel.

entertainment in the bar was very good, the staff were very friendly.

room was very small, only just enough room to sit on the loo! Our stay was ruined on the last night by some drunk people in the next room to us, who came in at 4am, and proceeded to slam the door constantly as they charged in and out until they finally stopped around 8am!

"Against some thing disturbing your relaxing, the general experience is nice, the hotel staff is friendly, I would recommend, it worths the price." (107167158)

    Staff, general services, meals...

Kind of low cost feeling, room doors are very close to each other causing guests troubling each other in certain situations.Could hear people on the above floor walking.....

"Adequate for our purposes (we had to attend a meeting the night before), but not a hotel I would choose for a leisure break." (107110691)

The room was clean and adequate. Staff were fine.

Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Surprised to have blankets these days rather than duvets. It was a very hot night so almost impossible to sleep.

"I paid the full rate for the room (£60) although I was a single occupant - it would have been nice to have had a discount. The walk to the conference centre was a good 20 minutes which was not nice through the park at night time." (107265885)

Service in restaurant was efficient at breakfast.

Not possible to have a shower as there was no fixed shower head or curtain. The stock of sachets of drinks not replenished during stay (ran out of coffee sachets and had to get replacements).

"I was extremely disappointed with this hotel and would certainly not recommend it." (107166880)

car park full when we arrived so parking difficult; room smelled stale and musty and felt damp; sheets on bed poorly fitted with pillow placed under sheets and had exposed mattress by the morning; tea and coffee in the room in a bowl which had been made wet so tea bags and coffee sachets had stuck together; previous occupants sweets wrapper still on the floor; bed side lamp had no bulb; bathroom old and shower ineffective; hot water very hot and no warning of this; decor old, dirty and tired; bar closed by 11.30 p.m. when we arrived back at the hotel and no room service; floor of room above had very creaky floorboards so when occupants arrived in room at 4.15 a.m. we were all woken up and then again when they used the facilities in the night; room next to car park so woken again by coaches 7 a.m. Sunday morning; room next to lift which was allowed to be used at 4 a.m. and woke us up; breakfast waitress unable to understand our meal request; full English breakfasts clearly prepared in advance waiting for order so was barely warm when it arrived; no-one at reception when we checked out so unable to make any observations direct to staff at the time.

"It was cheapish at 60 quid a night for 2, but I wish I had spent a bit more and had a better experience. Breakfast was ok but we didn't have dinner there. Lovely Indian restaurant just up the road and nice ones in Westbourne village too, 10 mins walk away." (107248892)

staff are friendly and helpful.lovely gardens and nice pool

room was cramped with extra bed (not requested by us) couldn't open wardrobe properly. Only 4 coat hangers provided for two people. Decor, bedding and bathroom are very dated. Shower attachment over bath was very poor. Quite dirty in some parts of room, (dead moths on windowsill)dust had us sneezing. Had to share swimming pool with local instructors running private lessons, very inconvenient. Extra charges for using Jacuzi. Location too far from town centre. Upstairs corridors and wiring all looked old and shabby

"Good value for money but rather disappointed with the decor and comfort in particular the bed. Could have been a little more food for breakfast. Just happy I was only staying one night" (107148647)

Good value for money. Nice breakfast although a little on the small size - Only one Weetabix

Decor very dated in the room and hotel in general. When I went to check in they were unable to find my booking and had to keep going into the back office. Parking was very restricted a lot of coaches in the car park
