"it would have been helpful if we knew in advance the size if the hotel as least then we would not have been disappointed. i got the impression that when i booked it with visa card that the money would be taken out of the card on arrival only to find out that i had to pay as i booked it on someones elses card which left me short of money. this information should be clearer on booking as everyone does not have a visa card and people usually borrow someone elses card." (99123203)

on the first night the staff member we met was very helpful. the location of the hotel was near the metro which was good.

the room was very small i felt everything in the hotel was small & pushed together. the lift was tiny only enough room for 2 people. the shower didnt even have a shower holder on the wall.

"The hotel was situated close to the gard du nord train station which made it very easy to get around all the main attractions of paris. It was clean with friendly and helpful staff and the rooms although small and basic were ideal for the budget traveller visiting the city for a weekend." (97773734)

    good location

    very noisy outside

"We picked this hotel by previous reviews as being functional if you are mostly looking for a place to sleep. It matched our needs. The bed was not the best, but it didn't kill our backs. The light over the desk did not work, but everything else did. The room was clean and quiet and the water was drinkable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we had no problem communicating in English." (97416662)

Location was good. It is a very short walk to Gare du Nord, even with luggange, but it is on one of the quieter streets of the area. It is a twenty minute, uncomplicated walk to the opera and city tours, if you want that.

The shower was very cramped, but there is no space for a larger one.

only adequate and no worse than expected for price

a little cramped but as above, no worse than expected

"Very friendly staff with a good grip of the English language although we try to speak French at all times it is very useful to have some help occasionally with technical stuff. Very handy for lots of sights and supremely handy ( a couple of minutes walk) for Gare du Nord and buses to all parts of Paris. The hotel is on a quietish side street with some nice bars and restaurants within the immediate area. The room and bathroom are small but comparable to London hotels at more than twice the price." (99894196)

Very small, very inexpensive and very friendly. Extremely convenient location and reasonably quiet due to excellent double glazing.

There was nothing to dislike really.
