Lobby and room were stylish, staff very helpful, excellent croissants at breakfast

The carpet in the room (a very light colour) was a little stained.

"Generally very impressed with the hotel." (108076795)

Hotel was welcoming, stylish and well located.

Only hand held shower bath. Very surprised that no proper shower in a hotel so recently renovated.

"Overall a very nice stay but could be a fantastic hotel if the team will focus on attention to details. We had the felling that the hotel was refurb to a very high standard few years ago with a great fitures and fittings but it looks like no effort has been made or money spent to keep the hotel to the same standard (maintenance and light refurb). The lobby had a lovely bar and library and fire place but it looks like they have never been used. Loved the location of the hotel and the team was very friendly." (97613565)

The Loft room was very spacious and well decorated with minimaliste style

Toilet holder, towels rails and hooks missing in bathroom and holes in the wall not repaired. Bulbs gone and needed replacing in toilet and bathroom Bathroom walls could do with a coat of paint and wood furniture around the sink need attention. TV bad picture for few channels

"see above Your question belkow -would we book on line again -absolutely we book 90percent of our hotels on line but usuallly use Expedia, OCtopustravel, Tablethotels,designhotels.com . I am afraid that it felt that active hotels had never vetted the accomodation or the hotel and was happy to sell on anything . THat is not going to make ACtive compete with Tablet and Designhotels and others....I regret I wouldnt go to ACtive again" (97232863)

At Euro 200/night and advertised as a boutique hotel one expected far far more from the hotel. BEdside light didnt work .Bath edging cracked,no shower screen or any other way to shower in the bath effectively.Bathroom bleak . THe hotel almost got there as a boutique hotel but gave the impression of having run out of money - unadorned walls, cold corridors and lift area, a front door that was locked at 7.30 in the morning ( no staff on reception) and breakfast that started at 8am but only had bread at 8.30. By comparison HOtel des Ormes in Carteret the night before -charming and well planned Euro 100 per night and was seamless. BOutique hotel such as DOMinican in BRussels the week before Euro 130 and impeccable including free mineral water etc etc .Sorry felt ripped off and seriously disappointed by the experience and would put people off the idea if we had the chance .

"The description of the hotel that we read before we booked was very accurate. The owners and staff were very helpful and recommended some good restaurants." (97727302)

The rooms were very clean and modern, the hotel was in the heart of the town but it was not noisy.

It would have been nice to have had a shower over the bath that was fixed instead of the hand held shower attachment.

good position, clean hotel, friendly staff. good breakfast but 12 Euros each extra.

brown bedroom walls and decor.no separate shower

DIFFICULT TO FIND - NO OUTSIDE SIGN

"The hotel is set up as a modern minimilist style accomodation. It boasts a famous designer but the furnishings and fittings are pretentious and not well thought out. For example, a bath tap that does not completely reach into the bath, a shower head but no shower curtain, a four-poster bed that is far too big for the room. Another, grander style hotel in Le Touquet(for those who enjoy opulent suuroundings and all the dining and leisure facilities of a large 4 star hotel) charges similar room rates to the Pol. However, for a peaceful locale at the weekend the Pol is better than others in the town." (99147345)

The hotel is very well situated. It was clean and in a peaceful area. (Others in Le Touqet can be noisy until after midnight).

There is no parking for guests.

"Overall a good small, quiet hotel, very clean with pleasant staff. Close to all amenities. breakfast facilities were in the basement which we did not use." (99993721)

The hotel was in the middle of town overlooking the market place. Even on market day it was very quiet. It was very close to all restauarants and for promenade beach area. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful

One small criticism would be that whilst we appreciate the hotel was decorated to a minimalist style there could be a mirror over the dressing table. The outward appearance of the hotel is not very inviting, the grey exterior makes it look a bit dull.

"Details of what is on in Le Touquet during the stay. We enjoyed the music festival but was unaware it was on until we arrived so had not packed adequate warm cloths to sit out on a cold evening." (99759395)

I thought the location was excellent, the decor tastefull and the staff very helpfull

Minor but the sensor in the corridors activate too quick and do make locking the room doors difficult

The Hotel was modern, the room very clean and well equipped, really comfortable bed, good towels etc.

No Shower, just shower attachment with no curtain and short hose. But the bath was very big and good quality.

"Good choice for anyone wanting to be at the heart of Le Touquet in first class comfort." (99287528)

Helpfullness of the staff was beyond expectations, the cleanliness was excellent, and the location for the town centre could not be better.

The Hotel does not have a restaurant although this is not a problem since there are pleanty available within walking distance of the hotel. In your questionair I have marked down a couple of items and this is because I personally do not like ultra modern decor and minimalistic decoration. In their defense however, they do indicate this style in their publicity so the disappointment is self inflicted by myself.

"Friendly, helpful, relaxed staff. Clean modern decor. Good breakfast." (99532037)

Very relaxed, friendly and accommodating staff. Invited us to use their on-line facilities when my son had to organise last-minute travel back to England. Clean, modern decor, comfortable beds, good continental breakfast.

Personally, we prefer a shower cabinet to a bath with a hand-held shower attachment, due to difficulty of movement due to old age!

"that there were not really proper showers, only baths." (99048881)

    Very modern, clean and comfortable

No proper shower, just bath, and bath too deep for some of our older travelling companions.

The staff were very eager to please making our stay very relaxing. The hotel is situated in the ideal location for a short stay with beach & shopping on the doorstep.

Found the room very warm but that could be down to the fact that I didn't use the air con correctly. Felt disappointed that there was no view.

The rooms are minimalistic, clean and chic with great bathrooms. Breakfast was extra but plenty to choose from and all served in a very relaxed style. Easy free parking outside. Great central location, close to sea front and within minutes of main shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and will be back." (99318341)

It was very modern and clean. Comfortable bed, quiet room and location was very convenient for walking to nice restaurants and the beach. Lovely breakfast - definitely worth getting up for!

No private parking but we were able to park right outside the front door so it was not really a problem.

Cleanliness & quality beds. Top quality bath and basin taps. Slick multi channel TV.

Tiny waste basket, Insufficient coat hooks. Drab grey painted walls. Fire safety no 2nd means of exit. Lack of daylight in family room. Nowhere to sit and dry hair or put on make-up. Window view of plastered wall. Only 1 mirror - in bathroom.
