"From the Airport, the city / airport bus ( LAM ROSSA, immediately outside arrivals) was only 10 minutes. The bus stops opposite Pisa Central Station,so it was only a matter of disembarking, turn left , 1st right & 50 m down on the left hand side was the Hotel - BRILLIANT !! The Bus Station was behind La Pace too. This made journeys to Florence ( Firenze) & Siena by train easy & we took the bus to Marina Del Pisa - ( sea front ).Travel was inexpensive, PROVIDING you bought Bus tickets @ bigliterra & NOT on bus, which was twice the price.Tuscany is lush & beautiful & in general the locals were very pleasant & spoke English very well." The Hotel was perfectly situated for transport links - Train & Bus. The main tourist attractions, were only a 15 minute walk away, across the River Arno
It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room, otherwise the accomodation was perfect.

"This was my first visit to Pisa, and as a complete stranger in the city I was completely taken care of by the marvellous staff at La Pace hotel. Even when my son forgot to pack a favourite toy prior to departure, the staff went to the trouble of ensuring that it was re-united with him. The room and facilities were very good, and value for money. As already mentioned, the staff (particularly on the main reception) were outstanding their level of commitment and customer care." The general atmosphere and helpfulness of the staff were the outstanding points, particularly the reception (main desk) girls L and S, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Not only were they extremely helpful, but they also gave the impression that they really enjoyed their work.

"Overall we were very pleased with the situation, the helpful staff at the desk, the cool stone floors, very comfy bed. Found what I wanted to know easily on the net, and would certainly come back if the occasion arises." (99422442)
Excellent distance from Station. Easy walk through town to the Leaning Tower, very useful shuttle to airport. Good sized bathroom with BATH! Quiet room overlooking courtyard, could have window open at night. Breakfast room good.
No air con in room before arrival, had to ask girl to put it on, she didn't know where it was! Barman not ready to serve us, and rather pleased with himself!

Very helpful and pleasant reception staff. Good buffet breakfast. Superb original paintings in the main reception rooms and corridors.

"We chose the hotel as a simple and convenient bed for the night, on a one night stop between Pisa airport (landing at 2200) and onward travel to Florence by train early the following morning. Price and location dictated our choice. We would not have chosen this hotel for a visit to Pisa itself. The room was adequate for our purpose, but not for a longer stay. Although the public areas of the hotel were good (in a 1970s way!), the room itself was very basic and required updating and refurbishing. The approach to the main hotel entrance through a small concrete shopping arcade with its boarded up shops and crumbling ceiling was not at all pleasant at night, it made the area feel very run-down and potentially unsafe" (99292884)
Proximity to airport and station. Excellent breakfast. Very efficient and polite staff on breakfast service and at time of checking out on front desk. Very good spoken English
The room was very tired and dated, not at all as the web photo suggested. Approach to hotel through semi-derelict shopping arcade was a little unnerving. We arrived late and felt like a drink in the bar before bed, but a noisy conference lecture was in progress (at 2230!) next to the bar and there was no available seating as the bar was being laid up for breakfast

Layout of the rooms - with a dividing door - was excellent for families
no air conditioning in the common areas - sitting in the bar and breakfast area was a bit uncomfortable in the heat

Good hotel, pleasant staff but a tad overpriced for a family of four.
Being near the station, the environment was untidy with the usual lurkers dossing about the streets. Parking 8 Euros for one night!

Good location (Trains), staff were excellent and the room was a good size and had all the right stuff in it.
Breakfast was the main down-side - no proper juice, not a great deal of choice outside the continental selection (my daughter wanted Scrambled eggs). In out room, there was someone else's toothbrush on the floor, and some of the wall-fittings in the bathroom were loose/broken.

Friendly and helpful staff on reception. Breakfast buffet very good. Room well up to expectations - was clean and quiet. Proximity to railway station and buses was a bonus. Also appreciated access to the hotels airport shuttle bus.
Can sometimes be a little intimidating gaining access to the hotel entrance via the Galeria in the evening.

It is very near the train station. The room is clean abd quiet and the breakfast is good.
People in the nearby building were rather noisy at night.

"The hotel is near the station but some distance from the tower. The walk at night could be a little diffucult because of the people around the lower part of the town. The breakfast was excellent, freshand plenty of it and the waiters were particularly helpful. Make sure your room is not by the lift as it can be noisy. As we stayed for five nights it would have been nice to have had a much lighter room, this was not helped by blinds that did not open. In general the hotel was clean and the staff excellent and value for money, however its position in Pisa is not the best and the area seems to be on the decline." (99951031)
The staff where extremely bright and helpful and always attentive to any problems
The room was extremely dark as it overlooked other buildings, the area was very seedy and we did not feel particularly safe at night.

the reception area and breakfast rooms were full of character and interest. breakfast itself was very good and staff helpful and cheerful.
there was nothing i disliked, although the room was close to needing redecorating. however the corridor outside was being redecorated so maybe the room was to follow.

Courtesy, efficiency and friendliness of the staff. Collection service from the airport.
