"We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in this hotel and found it convenient for both the station and the main sights of Palermo. Our room was nice and spacious and there is a TV for anyone interested in Italian programmes. Breakfast was served at a bar just across the street and is the typical Italian fare of pastry and coffee or juice. Not sure if this would be a problem for non-Italian speakers, but as we speak the language we found it a nice start to the day to mix with the locals. The reception is manned 24 hrs/day and checking in and out was very efficient. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a reasonably priced place to stay." (99008034)
It was very conveniently located, clean, nice size rooms and the staff were very helpful.
We had no problems but you have to walk up two big flights of stairs as there is no lift so could be a problem for those with lots of luggage. Traffic could be a problem for light sleepers but we found no problem once shutters were closed.

"This hotel was perfect for our needs - a short break to see the sights of Palermo. Convenient location, close to the station and to places of interest. The staff were polite and very helpful. Breakfast (croissant and coffee) was in a bar outside the hotel - ok but not ideal. I was thankful to have packed earplugs. The sound from the cars and trucks on Via Maqueda would have been a problem without them. Some rooms are on the other side - I'm sure these would have been much quieter." (99217018)
Convenient location, close to the station and to places of interest. The staff were polite and very helpful.
Rooms over the main road are noisy. Take some earplugs! Breakfast was in a (nice) bar outside the hotel.

"The location is 5 mins walking distance from the train station which was handy for us as the airport bus terminates and leaves from there. It's also close to the Quattro Canto which is the centre of the city. The hotel is up 4 flights of steps and with no lift was hard going with heavy luggage. Check-in was easy, all guests produce a passport. The staff didn't speak English very well so be prepared with phrasebooks. They were, however, very patient, helpful and friendly. The rooms where big and clean with interesting decor but the shower rooms were small cramped affairs. Our shower was weak and intermittent with hot/cold bursts and the door didn't close properly. Our friends' shower in the triple didn't drain very well. Breakfast (included) is across the road in a cafe. Check out is early at 10am. They don't currently accept credit cards - so you may need cash. Overall the experience was good considering the price." (99299648)
Very friendly staff. Interesting regal decor. Big, clean rooms.
1. Lack of English speaking 2. Rubbish shower rooms - small, cramped and weak showers that change between hot and cold. Poor drainage in one of the rooms. 3. There was an unfriendly guy who was using a drill on a ladder right by the entrance as we were checking out which was dangerous not to mention loud and very distracting. 4. Four flights of steps and no lift which is hard going if you have heavy luggage.

Clean, comfortable and well run.
Breakfast not on site. Hotel is up four flights of stairs; not good for anyone with mobility problems or heavy luggage!

"This is a centrally located hotel (very near the train station) that has beautiful Baroque decoration. The rooms are not huge but have a grand feel due to their decor - lots of swirly gold mirrors and dark red swathed fabrics. The staff are very helpful and speak great English. It's excellent value for money." (97573866)
Lovely opulent rooms in a former palace.
